He was a gentle giant of a man, a good husband , and father. He brewed some of the best beer to cross your lips, and loved life dearly. He had to stop working a couple of months ago to take care of an ailing wife. He went to bed and she couldn't wake him this morning.

So lift your hearts, your prayers, and clear the table of glasses for a toast to Don.

I am sorry for your loss. He was obviously a very fine man. Hopefully you can be helpful to his family. Most of their friends will gradually lose interest in looking after the well-being of his family. You can honor him by doing for his family whatever you would be grateful for him doing for yours. Again, I'm sorry. You were both lucky to have each other's friendship.

I feel your pain. I lost my father in exactly the same way. He was just 55 and my best friend in this world. Suck it in say a prayer,remember the good times and help his family the best you can. My regards and prayers!

Damn, man. I am very sorry for your loss. Yours, as well, PhatForrest. The hardest loss to take is one where there is absolutely no indication or warning. You both have my deepest sympathy. At least your friends' worries are over. The same goes for your Grandfather, PhatForrest.
