I've been sailing this board for a long time and have seen some pretty liberal views (the pot-smoking thread comes to mind).

I was wondering how many of you would have voted for Gore if he had retained his 100% pro-gun stance he had as a Senator.  Any takers?

Tax cuts = Less government control over you.
Bush over Gore any day.  Browne over Bush any day the ultimate in less government control of your life.

Gore IS pro-gun. He got high ratings from the NRA when he was a senator.

GORE IN 4!

In 1985.  Either he is just weak and stands for nothing (what I personally think), or it was that the Demoncrat machine ate him up.

No, though this election for me was basically a one-issue election (guns), if Bush and Gore had held identical views on guns and their current views on everything else (social security, foreign policy, you name it), i still would have voted for Bush.

The only thing i liked about al gore was that he was a vet. i could not have voted for him as long as he was associated with billy bob. gore was too politically motivated, as far as recent years, and i personally have no faith in people who appear that way to me...(clinton) people can say what they want about g-w but i would certainly prefer a "down to earth" politician anyday. i could care less how he presents himself to the upper class better than thow high up pieces of hot shit!!!!![chainsaw]

I like the internal combustion engine too much to vote for that Greenie-weenie.

I just wouldn't want to give up my car and have to move to an apartment with 10 others (high density housing is Al's goal).

No way Gore. I voted primarily based on candidates gun views. Even if they were even, its all about the team they put in place. Janet Reno and the HUD would still be harassing the gun companies. Let not forget the SC appts. either. i don't like Bush that much, but i know the 'publicans would put a better govt in place.

Gore being anti-gun is just the icing on the cake.  I hate him.  He's a disgusting excuse for a human being: a career politician. People rag of Bush for getting into power on family connections, but Gore's no different.  People rag on Bush for being stupid, but at least he got his Master's.  Gore couldn't hack law or divinity school.  The media seems to think he's intelligent, but he churns out bad idea after bad idea.  I despise him.

Gore was just saying all of that stuff to get elected. It is what they all do. What you have to judge him by is what he DID while senator.

NO! Even if he were pro-gun, he still has a lot of extremist views on the environment, and is anti-military.
And of course, he's CRAZY!
Did I mention, he's CRAZY!
Oh,by the way, he's CRAZY!

Gore= Pathetic LIAR  he cant even do that well.  No credibility on any issue.  Everything I stand for he's against.  I like off-road vehicles (ATV's) He wants them banned.  I drive a Ford truck with a V10.  He's gotta hate that one.  Cannot fathom gasoline at $3.00+ per gallon that he advocated.  Energy crisis?  breach the dams?  He said let science determine if they do it.  Sorry folks but we need them damned dams.    Yuk, I get mad just thinking about that fool. U not worthy, must learn lore of Ying/Yang, then maybe...

Back then it was o.k. to speak about evil guns, but today the DNC is very anti-gun.  If he won back then, things would have been fine.  Today, I worry about any DNC candidate claiming to support gun rights, and expect they will lie in 04' to gain office.

My motto is: I've never seen a Democrap that I'd vote for president.

Their just to damn LIBERAL. On the local level most Dems. (where I hail from) are conservative enough to warrant a second look.

But by the time they get to the national scene they get to ate up with the dumb-ass and become the big city, limosene liberals.

I wouldn't vote for Gore if he said he was for guns because it would be just one more lie to get elected. His disgusting approval of Slick Willy was just to much.Anyway, everybody who loves freedom and guns needs to get behind President Bush and also write, call and e.mail their Senators and congessmen and women and let them know what we expect from them.

Otay, let me rephrase.  When you post a NEW topic, it shows up on the top of the board list.  Okay, now when I posted my NEW topic, it showed up on the THIRD page...right off the bat.

I would have only voted for Al Gore if he hadn't changed EVERY ONE of his positions between 1988 and 2000.  He was not just a liar, which I expect out of politicians, but was totally without any principles.  He had nothing he valued more than being president.  And now he has nothing.

Three generations of Democrats in my family voted for Bush because Gore wants to take our 2nd Ammendment rights away. Maybe the DNC will wise up by 2002 and take the anti gun platform out.

Even if they did take that "platform" out, would you still trust them?  I sure as hell wouldn't.[heavy]

I would.  He would keep our gun rights safe and secure in a "lockbox."

FFYR; high density housing does not mean 10 people in an apartment.  It means high rise buildings.  Before you complain about that, remember that once FAR's get over a certain value, traffic improves.

That's right, traffic gets better.

If a man such as GORE would say anything to get elected, then he's unworthy of our vote in the first place.

'They all do it' is a LIE.  George W. is not pro-gun because of all the money he got from the NRA.  The NRA contributes to his campaign because he's pro-gun.

In Texas, we voted out Ann 'Ma' Richards in favor of George W., as Gov., at a time when Ma Richards had an approval rating of over 70%!!!

Why? Among other reasons, 'cause she vetoed the CCW bill and George W. said he would sign it.  And he did sign it. Simple enough.

Bush all the way-Gore=NEVER EVER EVER EVER
Remember this is a REPRESENTATIVE REPUBLIC-not a true DEMOCRACY where mob rules. Its a matter of personal political philosophy. Too many people in this country have no idea [:(] what our Constitution says  and believe what the LIBERAL mainstream media tells them they should believe. I feel sorry for those ignorant lazy SOB's who get their political views spoonfed to them from the 6 o'clock news and the front page of their local liberal newspaper rag and are unable to think for themselves. By the way, those are the majority who voted for Gore and still think the supreme Court and the GOP "stole" the election from Gore(the mdeia said so, so it must be true!). [puke]

Never underestimate the power of an ignorant majority.

There are fewer and fewer of us independant minded individuals everyday as the new/ future generations are trained on dependancy for everything. Whether I agree with you or not, most people here are people with well though out principals. Not ideas that were put into your minds from some person or group.  We look at facts and figures and most importantly the basis of the Constitution for out beliefs. We look at history and realize that people have not really changed over time and that it can happen here.  We don't live in the eutopic bubble that the liberal mindset does. We are realist.

I hate to say it but female democrat's are the most ignorant group on this planet. Ever see an interview with one. Most base their beliefs on thin air with nothing to back it up. Republican women have their act together and present their arguments in thought out logical ways. Not the "Guns are Baaadd" crowd.
