There are good movies and then there are absolutely perfect movies. Movies where nothing can be added or taken away. Brilliance on screen.

I nominate:

Die Hard
Back to the Future
The Breakfast Club

...for starters

Ehh. I watched Die Hard again tonight, as I do every Christmas.

It really isn't a very good movie

Old movies are my thing, and if you haven't experienced the magic that was pre-1950 Hollywood, you don't know what you're missing. For example, the finest movie ever filmed, The Best Years of Our Lives, profoundly moving and absolutely captivating story of men returning from war. A clip:

The Best Years Of Our Lives | PTSD Nightmare | Warner Bros. Entertainment

It isn't an action movie, so maybe not as popular with GD, but for sheer depth of character and technical brilliance (I believe it won seven Academy Awards), I cannot recommend it more highly.

A quick video review, well done:

That's absolutely true. Not saying it makes sense. It's a ridiculous movie, to say the least... But I've always enjoyed it. Lol
