The quote feature totally munged the URL link.

By transforming the {IMG}{/IMG} into {URL} {/URL}, the HTML-emitter generates an incorrect destination link.

You can click on the original picture to go to the link, but clicking on the transformed URL in the quoted version gives you neither the referent nor the original image.

Yep. I have been doing this for a while. But I guess its good that you show people. Its been a while since I posted instrucions.

Also, where in CO are you? I am in Weld Co. We have a dinner meet planned for early Oct. Hope you can make it!

It can't even handle the simple case where there's no additional text in the primary link.

The way I discovered this bug was seeing these in MY server logs:

        30/Sep/2004:16:45:15  /~zak/DigiCam/AR10-Sunset/small/140_4014_img.jpg</a> [ link to larger image ]          [404] not found
                referred-by http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=118&t=201315&page=11

I can work around it on MY SERVER's end by adding this apache mod_rewrite directive to the parent's .htaccess:


  RewriteCond   %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteRule   ^(.+)<.*    $1 [L,R]
