Lately I've received a few IMs that are full of HMTL code in place of quotation marks and other punctuation.

I had a similar issue. This is what I had, which was an inquiry into an EE sale.

Been happening to me too, just got a pretty long IM and it's all gibberishy, it has plus signs instead of spaces, and all the special characters are in that notation, I can kid of read it but there's also some URLs and pics in it that I just can't decipher without a ton of work.
Very random that it happens. |
