I'm warning you now, this is a rabbit hole.

Cooper was a strong supporter of the 2nd amendment, and believed there were elite secret societies secretly working toward the goal of ruling a socialist one world government. We're seeing a lot of the things he said would happen, happen now.

Ten years ago, I'd have dismissed this guy without a second thought. He sounds like a nut job.

He claimed to have been seriously injured by .gov agents on numerous occasions in an effort to silence him. He was killed during a raid on his house in 2001.

Rolling stone gives a decent synapsis:

Rolling Stone article

His resume is impressive and seems beyond reproof. He was a naval intelligence officer, served with the Strategic Air command; he proveably served in several positions that would have allowed access to top secret information.

He predicted 9/11, said Bin Laden would be used as the scapegoat, and said the .gov would use the attack to invade Afghanistan.

Cooper made a lot of outrageous claims. Each of which sound full throttle, tinfoil hat, crazy. Many of these outlandish claims have since been verified as correct and truthful by our own government.

He said Kennedy was assassinated by his limo driver, Eisenhower met with alien ambassadors, and there are extra terrestrial outposts on the moon. Again, he sounds like a nut.

I don't know what's what anymore. What I believed to be impossible a few years ago has come to fruition.

Here's a long video of him speaking in 1991:

William Bill Cooper - Behold a pale horse (Full Video)

https://youtu.be/AIXxiLcuDK4

The video is long, and parts are boring. He provides a lot of documentation, and his video documentation is a poor quality video projected onto a wall. I couldn't see any of the things he claimed the videos showed.

If anyone has any information that proves or disproves any of his outrageous claims, or anything else to add to the conversation, I'd appreciate your input.

I honestly don't know what to think of the guy, but the fact he was right about so many things, makes me question what else he said may be true.

If you have nothing to add, or dismiss the topic out of hand, good on you; but please don't respond here. This isn't GD.

Used to listen to him almost daily in the early 90s -- he did a shortwave broadcast on WWCR.

Many of his radio shows are still available online if you go looking for them. They almost seem quaint today.

Behold A Pale Horse used to be available at any Christian bookstore. I read it a loooong time ago, probably 30 years. I’ve lost my copy since.

As I recall, disappointingly a large portion of the book is just a reprint of one of the other mythical texts. I want to say the MJ12 papers or Protocols of Zion, or both.

It’s an OK book, some things are hard to swallow. Damn, I need to relocate it!

You want a real rabbit hole and a heavy read? Look for Defrauding America by Rodney Stich (not entirely sure of the last name spelling). It’s a gigantic book— I’d call it a “tome”— heavily footnoted and loaded with information that nobody else has tied together that I’ve seen.

Chapter 15 "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion" was eliminated in the newer copies. The ADL must not know about the Streisand effect.

I had read about that.  The pdf above must be the original version of hte book, because Chapter 15 is in there.

I pulled two examples out of the text, one detailing how to manipulate people with control of the economic engine, which I found extremely interesting and timely. Reading down, I found a section on secret societies which details how a Free Masons prediction is going to be made to come true by using a nuclear device, delivered by the Galileo probe, to set off a reaction and restart the planet Jupiter, which according to Carl Sagan is a star that failed. This was to have been a great sign in the sky and was supposed to have happened in the year 2000.

I found this one a bit nutty, and am reminded of one of my Philosophy instructors who took the safe road of skepticism and would have trashed the whole book over something like the Galileo probe business. As an aside I once read a book on table tipping and found it interesting up until the point where the author made a statement about "resistances flowing through light bulbs". This made it obvious to me that the author didn't know what he was talking about or was ignorantly repeating somebody else's work.

I've read about half of the pdf that @BlueDrewT was kind enough to link. I covered the whole book, buy skipped about half of it. My opinion is worth about what you paid for it.

The book is entertaining; some of what he says seems to be absolutely correct. Some of what he said about UFOs, is the same information now being released by spokesmen for our government. I'd have thought he was an absolute toon had I heard him say those things in the 90s.

But,

There's also a lot in there that hasn't come to fruition, and is really hard to swallow. As someone mentioned above, the freemasons were supposed to jump start a planet with a bomb. I skipped over the places where he reworded something he already said; that happened a lot. The guy comes off like a nut job in all but the introduction.

If you don't take the guy too seriously, it's an entertaining read, and provides some food for thought.

I wouldn't say I recommend it, but it's better than watching anything that's on TV.

I got the audiobook on Audible and listened to it.  It's the later version without the Protocols of the Elders of Zion stuff in it.

It started out right on the money.  Eventually it veered off into proto-X-Files stuff.

Not sure how much of that later stuff is believable.  But crazier things have happened in the past 20 years....

In the late 80's I attended an IPSC RO training class.  The instructor showed us a short 5 minute video that purportedly showed JFK's limo driver reaching over his right shoulder and shooting JFK in the head.  I lost that video several years ago.  I wonder if this was the guy that was narrating it?

Anyone else ever see that video?  The instructor gave several of us in the class copies of it.

They would have, even then, had to struggle to hide that from the Zapruder camera and the witnesses on the RR bridge.

Read that back in the 90s.
not sure it would seem as extreme or fringe now whether or not I found any of it to be accurate.

Unless I am mistaken, The author was killed in a shootout with police maybe a decade or so ago at his home in AZ.

I’d say so.

I bought and read his book probably 25 years ago.
I still have it.

Lots of tinfoil-hattery, with paranoia sprinkles.
It’s been so long ago that I can’t remember most of it, but I do recall it was intriguing.

If you go to about the 36 minute mark of the video in the OP, Cooper talks about the video you're referring to, and shows a low quality copy using a wall projector.

I couldn't make out what he was talking about watching the video on my computer, but he does talk about it in detail.

It does help Cooper's credibility on the subject that someone else came to the same conclusion watching the video.

I read BAPH years ago, and although I am not prepared to dismiss the whole book based on the limo driver theory, it really doesn't work.

IIRC, Jim Marrs gave the limo driver theory a thorough airing in his book Crossfire, which is very much worth reading on the JFK subject,  even if you disagree with his conclusions, it is valuable for the photos and source footnotes.

Cooper did make such a presentation. Right around that time and slightly later, 1989-1991 I'd say, Cooper wrote a detailed analysis of his findings. It was a rather lengthy article and was published far and wide, from Nexus magazine to MaximumRockNRoll.

Well, I'll be go to hell:  all these years I thought I had been had by the instructor.  I've never heard anything anywhere confirming and/or discussing this theory.  I wish I could remember the instructor's name.  I know he hated the editor of American Handgunner magazine at the time; he said he made several inappropriate passes at his young teenage daughter.  I forget his name also, but if it was said, I bet I'd recall it.

They shot him in his front yard while he was supposedly running from them or something: the guy only had one leg.

He was killed shortly after predicting 9/11 would happen.

He did recant his alien theories and aligned with the theory presented by John Mack and Jacque Vallée (which I agree with) that the aliens are indeed evil spirits.

Some men are able to peer through the veil and appear crazy to us.

Somebody gave me a VHS tape of him in the late eighties. I searched his book out and read that, then started listening to him on shortwave.

Friend use to call into his show. I called him to ask about his second book and this lady he use to put on his show answered. He was gone somewhere. I must have talked to her an hour.

She was living in the desert in her car. So much was going on, and they were paranoid about everything.
Dont remember who she was.

His newer released version of his book dropped all the Masonic stuff.
