I can't find any Weller here in town and since I'm about out I made a run to a place that usually has some.
It is sort of a hole in the wall kind of store but they usually have a good Bourbon selection. Stuff he had that was out of my price range: Van Winkle 12 lot B $700.00 Pappy 15 and 20, didn't even ask how much. Old Forester BB $250 Here is what I picked up, never had the Old Grandad before. My local ABC store had some Elijah Craig small batch, but I am unsure if it is the barrel proof like you have.
I picked up some Eagle Rare 10 year. |

There's a few that I hang on to for investment, but life is meant to be enjoyed. |

Went to a new liquor store today
Found Weller special reserve and Sazerac rye. They have a lot of other different bottles I'll buy in the future. |

Well, I was in the neighborhood so stopped in at the same liquor store this afternoon.
This place has been my source for W L Weller for quite some time even though it has been limited to Special Reserve for the last year or two. Today there was none on the shelf! so I picked out a few bottles of other stuff and went to the counter. When I commented on the lack of Weller, he started a conversation with the other guy behind the counter (in some language I don't speak). When they were done he said he had only gotten six bottles but that I could have one. He came out with two, I guess he felt sorry for me. I'm really surprised that they hadn't gone up on the price if the supply is going to be that tight. Here is my loot for the day. I do like the new Weller bottles and labels. Attached File |

Last week I walked into a retailer in the middle of no where and found 6 bottles of Special Reserve on the shelf, he let me have 4 of them and yes the price has stayed the same. On my way home my local shop called and told me Antique 107 was in, stopped and picked up 2 bottles of that. After going over a year without either I now have a little cushion. Now if it could only find a Weller 12 (never had a taste) that would be a good find for me |

I know everyone has their own personal favorites, but man, the two bottles of weller special reserve that I had were mediocore at best. Maybe I'm just strange.

I've been a Rock Hill Farms fan for a few years. It's the same # 2 distillate as Elmer T Lee and Blantons and bottled as a single barrel. It's bottled at 100 proof compared to 90 for ETL and 93 for Blantons. Although it's not age stated, it's believed to be aged at least as long as Blantons or a little longer. It's taste is very ximilar to Blantons but the extra proof makes it a little more interesting. If you like Blantons you'll really enjoy RHF. I think I've talked myself into my pour for the evening.

Picked up a a Sazerac rye and EHT single barrel. Clerk said I missed the last of the Elmer T. Lee by about an hour. I passed that store on the start pf my daily travels and decided to wait for the ride home to stop. Won't do that again.

I just picked up some Wild Turkey Rare Breed tonight.
Have any of y'all tried it? |

Weller Special Reserve is common around here but Weller 12yr is not gonna happen and you can forget Pappy.
BTW, if you like wheated bourbon try Larceny. I just picked up a bottle and I thinks it's damn good. Try it before the hipsters drive the price up. |
