If you can't leave my lithium batteries in checked bags, you probably shouldn't leave something with a battery and heating element in there either.

What is this country coming to?

A federal law associated to common sense!

Im guessing it only applies to cigalikes.  Otherwise, you could just remove the tank from the mod and call it good.

In the "Summary" it appears the first two sentences contradict eachother. In the first article it seems to say that they're actually just prohibiting the recharging of your device/batteries while in flight.  But thanks for the link OP. I'll be investigating this rule more closely prior to flying. I'd be pissed if my Billet Box got confiscated by TSA.  I guess if worse comes to worst, I'll just pack my vaporizer with my firearms.

Edit: My bad. For some reason, I thought the title said "Carry-on" luggage, not "Checked" luggage.

Huh - I already thought that was a rule.  Every time I end up gate checking my carry on (which is most flights), they have been asking for months if I have any lithium ion batteries or ecigs I need to remove first.
