Just got these, and IMO they are a really cool color. Made in the great State of Texas, Nocona "Nicotine full quill". Ima gonna need to buy me a horse.

I recently purchased a very cool pair of old boots and I caught a wrath here for sure, its all good because they are an investment and it'll take a small fortune to get them away from me.

Those look sweet. Soon to be a lost art, I fear. I have an old, old pair of Noconas, I think from the 40s or 50s, that a quite ornate that I feel the same way about. I'll try to get off my lazy ass and post a pic.

Yes, I ordered them direct from Nocona. Their price was as good as any retailer I could find, but their available sizes are limited. IMO the dwindling size availability seems to indicate US production is on the way out.

I found a pic I took years ago, when I got them. I contacted someone at Nocona, and they said these were made in the 50s. Honest to God, if I don't sell them when I'm really old, I plan to arrange to get them to a museum.

I tried to find the manufacturer of them but no luck.

It's a shame Tyler Beard passed, I bet he could tell exactly who made them and when. I believe there is a lady in NY that has written a book or two on vintage US boots and is kinda one of the current historical experts. If I can think of her name, I'll PM you - I'll bet she could tell a lot from that pic and the picture of the boots.

My wife's Family is from Nocona, TX.

I have several pair of original Nocona Boots. Nocona boots is owned by Justin Boots now. They were all from the same family.

My wife has family that worked in the boot factory.

Nocona Boot History
