Watch the trailer.  Strong hints abound that this is about Blackwater trying to silence it's critics in DC.  Just my opinion, I don't have any inside info.  It would be nice if someday, somebody somewhere made a film that didn't portray PMCs as bloodthirsty killers.

My reason is that regardless of any positive traits of any of their employees, they exist to sell armed forces to the highest bidder.

It's the latter. BW doesn't engage in offensive operations. They're a security operation that defends the lives of friendlies - mostly dignitaries, state deparment officials etc.

Of course those who share an ideology with Hollywood liberals like Ben Affleck won't be confused by facts.

Yes they "sell armed forces to the highest bidder." That's what they do. After all, you heard it on the internet so it must be true.

I think its more about evil corporations and evil government than evil America.  How can anyone in their right mind call 'America' evil?  Our government dictates the direction of our country, but while our government might be evil, that doesn't make our country evil.

They are high end security guards. They do not soldier.
As such they don't follow the same rules troops do, but often use the same tools.

Did you know the Army has to "call in" to their local command to get any fire power heavier than 308? That the army soldiers in the streets are not carrying 40mm grenades or frags as a regular battle load?

The Army is so god damn hamstrung over bad press that they are not allowed to fight to win. And in that respect they will "loose" alot like Viet Nam when Obama pulls them out.
It will be like Saigon all over again.

Blackwater does a job with no grenades too most of the time, and little fire support. Their job includes escorting good guys thru a war zone. Their rules are simple. See a threat - engage and escape.

Bad guys shoot from crowds, and mosques and schools.
BW, TC, Etc shoot back .... Booo Hoo.

Get a set of balls, and stand up and realize these men and women who work for PMC are not MERCs. They are fighting the good fight.

The press is the enemy, and so are 1/2 of the politicians.

Get over it and get behind it, or get out of the way.

I love it when people slam things they do not or can not understand. Sort of like LEO bashing. Blackwater made a few mistakes, however the context in which they were made are beyond the comprehension of most members here. Though the movie seems to put a negative slant on those companies like BW, it's JUST A MOVIE. I have worked with persons in the employ of BW and have made some good friends there. They have my respect and support.

Looks like it will be a good movie.  Doesnt seem to be anti-BW as much as anti-corrupt government politicians.

I thought Shooter was good too, and Ive never heard anyone call that movie anti-BW.
