Our Father - Prayer of the Lord in Latin

Pater noster, qui es in caelis,
sanctificetur nomen tuum.
Adveniat regnum tuum.
Fiat voluntas tua,
sicut in caelo, et in terra.
Panem nostrum quotidianum da nobis hodie,
et dimitte nobis debita nostra,
sicut et nos dimittimus debitoribus nostris.
Et ne nos inducas in tentationem,
sed libera nos a malo.
Amen.

sed libera nos a malo.

Wow, this is interesting. I just took it off the video.

quotidianum- equals daily from what I just looked up.

Is there a difference I am missing?

You're not missing anything.

Daily bread is from Luke 11.

Supersubstantial is from Matthew 6.

Here's an article on the differences:

Eh, praying the Pater Noster is a kind of elevator.

Feel free to stick around.

Pater Noster is great, but if you really want to tell me your Catholic without actually telling me you are Catholic, you can pray the Rosary in Latin.

I started with Ave Maria since you get 53 repetitions per Rosary, so plenty of practice, then Pater Noster.  Once I had those two, Gloria Patri was easy because it is so short plus I love the way saecula saeculorum rolls off the tongue.

Those 3 are easier that you might think, especially if you are a regular listener of Taylor Marshall since he prays at least one of them in Latin every podcast.

The Creed and St Michael took a little longer, but for some reason the Salve Regina fought me. I finally got that one down last week
