This year, they did a Tuesday show for the first time...it was supposed to be a "cheaper" day, and several cars went up into the high 5 figures. Tonight the big stuff will start, with the really big prices Friday night and Saturday. The problem I have is the show is almost all muscle and 50s US cars now...the classics and exotics go elsewhere...

I love muscle cars as much as the next guy, but I miss seeing the exotics.  I think there are less than ten Ferraris this year. WTF is up with that?  I used to watch it almost gavel to gavel, don't think I'm gonna watch much this year.

Tivo'ing it now, watching yesterdays now.
The high end exotics are not the hot market in auctions right now, the most appreciation has been in musclecars.
The jump in prices of virtually any '60's car over the last five years has been nothing short of phenomenal..

It's a buyers market..did you see the special with the 2 guys duking it out over the F88?

I was watching it when it happened last year. The guy in the Ferrari jacket could have gotten the car much cheaper, but he pissed the guy off in the Tennessee hat. He broke etiquette seriously too by jumping in the car. Oh well, he go it though lol...

IMHO it is insane. It is the last ditch fun for the baby boomer generation, before they start going to nursing homes. When that generation is gone, the muscle cars will come back down to Earth. Seriously, they are nothing more than big engines in tin cans...they have nothing on something like an Auburn or Cord, that I predict will take their place eventually...

That particular car had a ton of race history in the NHRA. That, and the high bidder got into a win at all cost attitude lol...

White shirt guy has some deep pockets.  How many cars did he buy so far? 4?
If guys like that got into NFA i could only imagine how ridiculous MG prices might get.  The rest of us would have no chance.
