Nice, I like the newer looks, I think suzuki could of done better on the mirror/blinkers though good concept just could look better.

who cares about the blinkers and mirrors.  Those are coming off first followed by the rear fender, bodywork, headlights, tail lights, foot pegs, handel bars, ignition, choke lever assembly, rear subframe(replaced by race subframe).  So you see I dont  get where the turn signals fall in place.  Beside it will spank your F4I in a heartbeat.

Oh yeah did i mention Im a 3 time regional champion in roadracing and only race a SUZUKI!!!!!

Theres a reason Miladin has won 6 National championships.  He's on a SUZUKI!!!!

The first thing I'd change would be that stock exhaust. I hate the new sportbike trend of integrating the pipe with the bodywork (or undertail).  But I'm not a racer (I've just owned a dozen or so sportbikes in the last 20 years ) Nice bike.

I don't know how my BIL does it...but he has a Kawasaki KZ750(not exactly sportbike material)

If I were in the country, it would be awesome.  

Dealer took $5000 for the trade of my '02.  Out the door for approx. $10,500.  Not too bad.  I thought I'd never need another bike three years ago.  This thing is just too badd.  

As far as the exaust, I'm realy digging on the "Buell" style exaust.  Don't really like the undertail exaust and this is was the perfect solution.  Streamline and keeps the weight closer to the center of the bike.  Has anyone heard if/when Yosh is comming out with an after market pipe?  If so I hope they keep it under the bike like the stock set up.

Anyone else find any pics in the sport bike fourms?  Haven't looked yet.  Went to A SHOW IN dENVER A MONTH AGO AND GOT TO SEE/SIT ON THIS BAD BOY (GD caps lock).  Feels close to the same as my 02 but looks a shit ton slicker.

Don't know about IL but I learned to ride in CA (Bay area).  Lots of idiots there too.  I think it made me a better rider.

Enjoy, but be careful. That bike makes abou tas much power as my 99 R1 did...

This year I bought a GSXR1000K5, and in the time it took me to get used to it there were a lot of days where I wished I had gotten the 750.

I'll take it easy...till I become fine tuned with it, prob about 1k miles.

I was impressed with the HP ratings this year.  When will these thing s level off.  Every year they are faster and lighter.

Too bad I live @ 5400 ft here in Colorado.  HP drops like a MO FO this high up.  My 02 750 was making around 140 hp at sea level and has dropped down to 120 at 5400 ft.  It's somthing like 5% every 1000 feet.

I'm going back to Cali for Moto GP in the summer of 06 so I'll get to see it's full potential there.

Almost bought the thou this year.  Glad I steered clear.  It was an easy decision after thinking about is hard.  There is NO competition for the 750.  It is one of the more rare used bikes for sale.  I guess the guys who get them like 'em and keep 'em.

Congrats!  That's going to be a nice track bike, if that's what you do with it.  I ride an '05 750 right now.  It's an awsome track bike and I imagine that the '06 will be even better with a slipper clutch and better midrange.

I'm planning to get another 750 in '07 after the kinks are worked out on the '06.

I'm with you on waiting. I'll keep my old '01 for a little while. I've held off on getting any of the newer generation ones mainly 'cause of all the brake fade problems, etc, that people have with them. Hopefully that'll be fixed on the '06. Not a problem either way for street riders, but brake fade sux for track/race use.

Most of the brake issues can be fixed with race pads and braded lines.  I did both on my '02 750 and what a diff it made.

Is that you in the pic?   If so, great shot.  I had several of pro pics taken at Laguna Seca, Button willow and Thunder Hill.  All we blown up and hang in my garage or living room wall.  I wish I had some digital so I could post them.

The '02 isn't the one with the problems. The 00 thru 03 750s and 01 thru 03 600's as well as the 1000's thru 02 are all okay. You're right that with those, race pads and braided lines are just standard things for track use, and that's all they need. I've had those on my race bike from the word go. - The ones with serious issues are the '04-'05 models that have the new brake system with the radial master cyl, etc. Go over to the WERA bbs forums.13x.com/forumdisplay.php?forumid=12 and do a search on the term "gsxr brake fade", and you'll get a long list of threads where people are just having terrible issues and ending up having to replace the whole system in some cases (some are worse than others, but they're all pretty bad about it). Some have resorted to putting the old 00-03 system on in order to still be legal for SS classes, and others have just replaced the systems with Brembo ones and just raced SB classes. At any rate, from what I'm hearing over on that bbs, little or nothing _appears_ to have been done to correct the problem on the '06 model. Nobody knows for sure yet though, until someone can get hold of a new one to test on the track... and for that matter, "test" bikes are sometimes "cream puffs" that get sent to magazines and they don't really represent what most of the public will get. So I guess we'll all find out whenever Suzuki delivers the first of the bikes to club racers. Keep your fingers crossed.

All that being said, none of that matters to street riders, 'cause they're not gonna heat up their brakes enough to ever notice a problem.

I really think that if they had a Blue and White scheme that was closer to my old ones I would have another, just on that basis alone.  I bought the following GSXRs new: 1989 750 Blue, 1991 1100 Blue, 1993 750 Blue, 1999 750 Blue.  I like Blue GSXRs...

There's a black 1000 at the shop here that calls me everytime I drive by...  but my belly tells me I can't get it until I lose at least 15 pounds.

I like the black too.  To bad the 06's dont have a black, just blue, purplish and yellow.  I don't know how much you weigh but I know that the 1k will get a 300+ pound fella around juuuust fine.
