The truck will turn over and start with the key only sometimes.

We can pull the starter relay jump the connectors where the starter relay plugs into (under the hood) and it will crank and fire everytime.

I replaced the relay and have the same issue even with the new relay.

Does this sound like something in the ignition switch itself?

With a new ignition switch costing 150.00, I thought Id ask around and get some advice before spending money on a switch and that not being the problem.
