I'm in need of a new to me vehicle, and have about $3k to spend. I've always wanted a Cherokee, and I may get one...with what I have I have found a few 1999 and newer ones in my price range. I was curious as to whether there were years that were particularly trouble prone?

I haven't seen many around here that are too rusted out, do any of them have a reputation for having their frames rust or the like? (we use a lot of salt on the roads up here during the winter time).

Of course I may wind up with a shitbox econo car, but I'd like to have a Cherokee before they are all antiques......
