In my day we had really crappy NVG that were gen I. ANPVS 7 I think it was called. Anyhow it had a plastic box that you strapped to your pack.

30 years later, I am out of the service and have an PVS-14 and it comes with a sheitty canvas bag. Not the best to carry $3200 piece of kit.

What is used nowadays to keep them safe from bumps and other heartache in the field?

I was thinking of making a PVC type enclosure but have to find out what is used in the field.

Anyone?

ETA wrong number on the PVS correvted

I bought a surplus pouch that's for an ACOG.  It fits my PVS14 with the  G11 mount stacked on top.  There is also a hard case that fits the 14 with the J arm attached but I don't remember what it's called.
