My present set up is
Win XP pro
Pentium 4 3.4GH D550 FSB800MHz
512MB(DDR SDRAM/PC3200)x2
200GB 7200RPM HD
Geforce 6600 256MB
915P/G Combo MS-7058 ATX mother board

I want to play Americas Army and BF2.
Some flash games go into slow motion when a lot of stuff is moving so I'm worried.

Also I would like to use two monitors, I know that my video card can support it, but is the rest of the stuff up to the task?

Are there any recommended upgrades?

Thanks in advance

That will be just fine.

Are you running the latest version of flash?

what kind of connection do you have?
as long as it's a good high speed you should be fine

it'll do fine, but I'd bump up the RAM by at least another 512MB.

Thanks for all the advice
I have got ADSL .
Just checked flash, and it seems that I have the latest version.

Well off to buy BF2 then
Will have a look at extra RAM too.

I play AA on my laptop with justa 64 meg mobile Radeon 9550/9600, so a 6600 should be more than good enough.  Maybe not with the detail maxed out, but more than enough with stuff set on medium.  Same for BF2.  I can't play it as it needs a 128 meg video card, but you should be ok.

I second the reccomendation to upgrade your RAM to a gig.

Never underestimate the advantages to having 2 gigs of RAM

it sucks having a board with 4 dimm slots and they are all filled with  256's.      It was just too expensive at the time to buy the 512 matched pairs.

Or you could just buy two 1gig matched pair sticks, like I do.

What he said.

I play BF2 all the day - 1GB seems to go well with it.

Now you can get a gig for less than $100.  I've seen 2x512s as low as $60.   Swap and then sell your old RAM on Egay.

Your box should be fine for those games dood.  Have at it.

Do a little tuning in your OS, too.  Use MSCONFIG to stop any unnecessary programs from starting. (click Start, Run, type in MSCONFIG and go to the startup tab)  Uncheck anything you know you don't want.  Experiment with the ones you're not sure about, and leave the ones that you need.  You want your system doing as little else as possible when you're gaming.
