Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Iphone 12 and disabling editors picks?

In maps the new editors picks is really irritating me as its all Karen Wokeness.

I have been unable to modify or disable and  am coming up with nothing in many hours of internet searching.

Any way to disable this?

According to the apple forums:

Open news, from the menu, pick file, then manage notifications.  You should find a setting in the notifications regarding editor picks.

That one i found, but my phone doesn’t have news, I deleted it when i first set the phone up.

So do you think if i need to re load the app to het rid of this stuff?

Downloaded news app and shut off everything in the app settings.

Restarted phone.

Still there.
