From the link:

Canon has said it is investigating an issue with its recently released EOS 7D digital SLR. In a service notice it says there is an occasional issue where traces of a preceding frame may be visible in images captured in continuous shooting mode. The company says it will release a firmware update to resolve the problem.

If you own one of these, it might be a good idea to keep your eyes peeled for the release of the firmware update, even if your camera doesn't have this issue. If your camera DOES have this issue, don't fret too much; Canon's on the job.

Good thing it's not a Nikon or all these Canon guys around here would be having a field day

We don't need any stinkin' excuses to blast Nikon, remember Canons are always the kings of the battle.  Ultima ratio regum.     Just joking, it was a difficult decision between the two when I picked my DSLR.

Until the fix you can just claim you're being "creative".

"occasional issue"??

Heck, they should make that an optional feature.

It can be a real problem.

if you're shooting against a high contrast background ...
and shooting in hi-speed burst mode ...
and using a fast shutter speed ...
and underexposing by a few stops ...
and trying to pull it up in post ...
and jupiter is in alignment with ...

Apparently Canon thinks it is enough of an issue to fix it but I haven't been able to make it happen on my camera even when trying.  There are a lot of people shooting birds in flight who haven't seen this problem.  Of the two people on POTN who could make it happen one of them turned out to be a reflection on their UV filter.

There are many people who've been asking Canon to enable in-camera multi-exposure images...

They don't have that yet?  I have it on my ancient D200!  But only when I want it...

Thanks for the heads up, I just got mine yesterday. It’s an awesome camera I’ve been waiting 3 years to upgrade and glad I did.

So is the EOS-1 Dm4 going to focus or not?

Sorry, but I could not resist.
