I haven't been taking many photos lately, just too busy with other things.

I finally had some free time and the weather was cooperating, so today I went walking through some old ranch lands and taking pictures.

I hiked about 7 miles though some great country with a lot to see and photograph.  Most shots were taken with the kit 18-55mm lens.  I REALLY want to get a Sigma 10-20mm.  It would work great for most all these shots (I was using the 18-24mm range today mostly.

Here are a few of the pictures taken today.

Gorgeous, great shots. I like the shitter can on the table in the shack. CO, WY, MT? Looks like some places on the Uncompahgre Plateau.

Thanks guys.  This was in Northern Colorado right up against the Wyoming boarder.

I really like going though these old bunk houses and cabins.  Just thinking about what it was like to come back to these after a hard day of work and being the only person within many square miles would have been great.  I've always said I was born a century too late.

Awesome photos, when I'm doing a dedicated hike (not carrying all my backpacking gear), I'll take all my lenses (18-105mm f/3.5-5.6) (55-200 f/4-5.6) (35mm f/1.8) along with my monopod.  I'd also like to add a wide angle lens (10-20mm) for my loadout.

But once again, great photos.  Looks like a great time.

Thanks for putting those up. I saw a lot when I lived in Co., but I didn't see that part of it.

Ok, looks like the Keyhole area. I'm in Laramie and the land along the border looks a lot like this. You should try photographing the Snowies, pretty spectacular vistas up there.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate it!  I decided to try my hand at B&W conversion with a couple of photos in this series.  Here they are.
