Anyone ever had success dealing with a neck issue that I'm having due to working out? Back in the fall I woke up one morning an my fingertips were slightly numb on one hand on all fingers except the pinky. Barely noticable, but it never went away. After that I noticed my neck would get super tight mainly while squatting. Two month ago I was making great progress, but had to take 1.5 months off due to hockey tournaments and family stuff. My neck was now locking up pretty good, but I was killing it. After that time off, I took 10% off my lifts to be safe. First good deadlift session(which includes SSB squats), my neck locked bad and my fingers and more numb. I cannot make it through any workout anymore and mainly just quit after the main lift.
I've been doing whatever I can, but everything hurts my neck now. I dialed it back to 3 mile walk, 15 minute Airdyne, KB swings, pull-ups, push-ups and I'm still hurting from the second I do anything but cardio.
My neck is a mess when I wake up also and usually my hand is numb, but once get going it goes away. I have full movement all day, no problem at work at all. It's like it never happened Then as soon as I attempt any workout, it's fucked until I work it out by relaxing or laying down. Only stretch that works is chin tucks, then tilting my head back at the same time, but the pain comes back on the next set. It's extremely discouraging.
Long post, not complaining and I know I probably need a doctor. Just curious if anyone has had any similar problems. I've lifted my whole life and had many little tweaks, but this one really is killing my motivation.
Thanks for reading my long-winded question.
