A while ago I posted in GD that I had allowed myself to be come a fatass, I was 6'0" and 227.

That night I decided to go on a diet.

In the upcoming days I started using a stationary bike, and slightly decreased how much beer I drink.

That was May 1st.

Now I am 195.

How I did it:

Cut ALL fast food out except once or twice a month, or eat at subway if you are on an exercise regimen.

Cut out unnecessary fat, right down to removing the skin from a chicken breast.

Drink lots and lots of water.

If you drink more than a few beers a night, cut it back to a few beers a night.

Do not drink until AFTER you work out, alcohol saps energy as it taxes the liver.

Develop an exercise plan, here is what I was doing:

250 push-ups a night...5 sets of 50-70 spaced out 10 minutes apart.

1 hour 10 minutes on the exercise bike at the highest setting...result...1050 calories A NIGHT lost.

Damn!

Nice job on 250 push-ups a night, that's huge!  I love push-ups, but that might get old for me every night.  I need some variety!

I'm down about 23 pounds in the same time frame (183 to 160, I'm 5' 9").

Do you have a goal weight, or anything else to keep you motivated?

My weight goal is 180 by halloween, I drink damn near every night now as it is the only way I can get some sleep.

So I just have to hit the gym more.

I eat light now, though sometimes I get a footlong from subway. Chicken and cheese only.

At school, I just eat sammiches. Dining hall burgers make me shit something fierce. Also drink lots and lots of water.

193, just weighed in after several large glasses of water.

I am determined to join the Marines (next 2-5 years) and hopefully go into local LE work (next 10 years)...weight loss will really help, and there is no harm in starting early and younger.

As far as push-ups, some nights I am not able to do them fully, I do the same amount but cannot extend as far.

My arms do get very sore even still.
