Ok, me and Brook are lookin for a reason to get outta town fer a weekend.
Need Lat/Long Proper (I Drive By GPS). We need good backdrop and nice weapons for her to model DVDTrackers Wares. That is the excuse fer roadtrip, anyway. Plus, I wanna sit on 1GunRunner's lap again.  That is right, South Dakota will Invade TX if this works out good. Plan on leaving here fri afternoon, arrival (somewhere in TX) Sat morn, do whatever is FUN for 36 hours, depart Sun Afternoon, return here Mon Morning. Yes, the brassmobile mobile gunshop/hotel/tour bus will be present. (like ya care) as far as what we need pix of for Life Liberty Etc.... (prolly more attention getting than brassmobile). Just need some paintwerx to pick up while there. Gimme some Windex, and you will get a helluva deal!

There are already a couple of stands available for rifle targets, Im working on a couple of line stands for 1x2 frames if I can get a chance to get them set up. Looks like a lot of targets will be the full size B27/torso targets as I have some and Hound is also bringing a roll of em. mine are 35x23 I use the universal hangers known the world over in the 90 mph class (duck tape) and stapler

No. Very little. There is one table, but that clearly won't be enough. I'm going to bring my large table (Saw horses/plywood) to rest weapons on and a small 4x2 table to shoot from.
I can share the 4x2 for people who want to precision shoot, but it's not enough for everyone. |

Amen on the boots. Range is on that good old black Texas gumbo. If it doesnt rain anymore tomorrow we should be ok. We got somewhere between 1-1 1/2 inches over the last two days. It'll be sticky but should be ok other wise. From what I've read here shouldn't be any worse than Gunstock.

It appears we are headed into yet another day of constant rain.

Asphault roads, gravel parking. Grass covered range grounds. There maybe some standing water at the berm line, but only an inch or so deep EDIT TO ADD. Just talked to Ralphs wife, range is wet but in good shape. Normally it drains prety well so as long as the weather holds we should be good to go. Due to the weather we havent been able to bring in the steel target stands I have made. These are 20 ft long drill stem stands that take replaceable 1x2 frames and need a trailer to move. So if anyone has portable stands we can borrow it would help. Ill get the permanent ones in place for the next shoot |

That mud was nothing compared to the Hun Farm over Memorial weekend. At Gunstock, Saturday it had dried out some, but remember it rained that evening, making it probably just as bad as Thursday and Friday. Did you find mud tires yet? I still have my other set. |

Looking forward to it. I am bringing the current Miz Tate *and* the former Miz Tate too! Hopefully, the former's husband can come too.
My oldest boy, my mother, and my father-in-law will round out "Fire Team Strickland". I am patiently waiting 'til my 1.5 yr old can go shooting with us. Still a long way off. Probably more than a year.....
