prelim report:  grip angle = better than Block's.  quicker on target IMHO.  needs night sights, though.  everyone go to Crimson Trace's website and request that they start making grips for it.  that'd be the cat's meow, right there.

Have you shot it yet? Does it go "cha-ching" every time you pull the trigger? (I saw what a box costs at Bullseye the other day ).

Yea, I meant 3 pictures on this current page. I had seen a few go for under $1200, so I decided to give it a try - ended up running $1195 shipped. Much better than the $1600 at the last gunshow in LR.

Doing great - he is the reason I have had this rifle for 2 weeks and have not shot it yet!

Here is my latest project. I have herd a lot of people saying they were going to up a folder on a milled MAK-90 but I don’t ever remember anybody who every posted any picture of there finished rifles. I figure it’s because they never really did complete the installation of the folder. It took some doing but here are the before and after pictures.

HERE IS WHERE I STARTED:

AND HERE IS THE FINISHED RIFLE:

I used a Bulgarian Folder because I never have liked the downward slop of the Chicom folders and what the hell it’s my rifle anyway.

You mean you stile don’t have yourself an under folder? It’s only money and you can’t take it with you. I figure if I want it I better get it, that way I can always avoid  that whole “I wish I would have” Bullspit. I hope you find yourself one sometime soon. I think everybody should have a least one if for no other reason than it pisses some people off…LOL

Check out the very first pick on this thread and again on the 5th page. I beat ya to it.

Your does look sweet though! Looks like yours was a little more work than mine. My reciever was already drilled for the underfolder.

Hello cajunboy,

Yes I remember seeing your rifle. Yours was a stamped receiver rifle that already had the under folder holes cut out for the conversion. I did my conversion on a milled rifle. Talk about a pain in the ass. Drilling the holes for the folder just about did me in. Like I said I have heard a lot of people taking about trying to do under folder conversions on Milled MAK-90’s but I don’t remember ever seeing there finished pictures. Yours came out looking great and I’m happy with the way mine turned out. I just wanted to share some picture to let everyone know that it can be done and how it looks when it’s finished.

Sorry Wolfman, I missed the milled part - long day at work. I wonderd after I posted because I remember talking online to you about my project. I bet it was a PITA to drill into that reciever. It looks great though. Everyone kept asking me, why I didn't just buy one already done and skip all of the trouble. It feels good to look back at the pics from before and see what it has become. I am sure you feel the same way.

Oh heavens yes!!!!  Funny thing is I had to try it out as soon as I got home with it, and I was very disappointed that it would only fire semi, no matter where I had the selector set.  Took it apart, and apparantly it has set somewhere for quite a while, because the oil in it had gelled/solidified, and would'nt allow the firing pin to move back and forth freely.  I'm happy to report that it is now running as it should.

My recent buy from Ozark Armory

100 and 200 yard groups look the same with this rifle.  It will shoot better than I am able to manage.  ETA: the hole on the upper right is from a different rifle.

From my bench.  Slight grip reduction, added a beaver tail, textured the grip, and added a new light.  I also picked up 9mm conversion barrels for both my G 22 and G 27.
