C45P312 came up with the GREAT idea of a "Pay It Forward" thread (see Here), and the ARFCOM staff ok'd it, so here it is!! Excellent idea C45P312!!!! I think these should be the rules: - NO money may be asked for ANY item, and no trades may be requested, those belong in EE. The only money that should be spent as a result of this thread should be for shipping. - To participate in this thread, you post up an item you have available as a "giveaway"; something you don't want money for but want out of the house. - If someone wants that item, they may quote your thread and call "DIBS", and in turn must put something of their own up for giveaway to 'pay it forward' to the next guy. - Any questions about an item and arrangements for shipment/delivery should be via private message to avoid making the thread impossible to follow. - Posts should consist only of an offer or a claim. The idea is to avoid lots of dibs posts that are followed by "still available because Joe didn't really want it" posts. - Try to be as descriptive as you can of the item you're paying forward, including pictures if possible so that people have little question about the item and may call dibs quickly without lots of back and forth conversation (giving someone else the opportunity to call dibs first). The idea of the thread isn't to 'get stuff', it's to share your extras with the community, and possibly end up with something you've been wanting/needing in the process. Please don't get this thread locked by arranging trades, sales or offering anything other than your genuine generosity. Ready Set Go!!!! Edited to add: This thread is allowed to go forward, but is in no way sanctioned by AR15.com. If you have any problems from the deals done in this thread it is up to you to resolve the problem. As a first offer, I'll start! To 'pay it forward', I have 350-ish rounds of Bulgarian 7.62x54R. It's corrosive primered ammo, wrapped in wax paper and twine in 10 round packs. Will deliver in a standard green 7.62 ammo can. My rifle seems to have trouble extracting this stuff, maybe someone else will have better luck with it. Who wants it! |
Holy hell that's one heck of an offer. I have a Mosin Nagant I could feed that too, but since I already have a bunch of that ammo, in good conscious I'm going to have to pass. I'm glad to see something like this getting off the ground. I know I tried it before but it got canned - probably because I named the thread "Trading Post" (i.e.: "Trade" = EE). I'll sift through some of my stuff at home to see what I might have to offer. _MaH |

Guys, please try to stick to the rules for this thread. There are a handful of posts already that are questions about an item, or arrangements for delivery. Use IMs for that or this thread is going to be impossible for anyone to keep up with. The only two types of posts that we (collectively) want in here are "I have item X", and "DIBS on item X, and to pay it forward, I have item Y". If you need to discuss pickup/deliver or have a question about an item, please use IMs. |

Air Hockey Table- Sportcraft Brand. About 5 years old, kids didn't play it that much and is in very good condition. I just cleaned all the air holes out and motor runs well. It has two paddles and two pucks. Because of size/ weight, it will need to be picked up from Culpeper, Va.

Macintosh G4 desktop with 17" CRT monitor. The CRT works, but sometimes flickers for a second. The Mac has two hard drives I'm guessing 10GB and 45GB. I believe it has 768MB RAM. DVD burner, ATI video card. Drives have been reformatted, but I'll see if I can find the CDs to restore. Probably too heavy to ship, but I can meet up or deliver in the NOVA area. |
IM sent about the stock _MaH |

Found two PT-92 9mm magazines while sorting through some stuff today. They're no-name mags that I bought back during the Ban. They were still in the bag, which tells me that I never even tried them out, so I have no clue whether they really work or not. I don't have the Taurus anymore, so the mags are taking up space. Anybody who wants one or both, IM me. Maybe they'll work, maybe not - you find out. (Just asking for the $ to recomp for the postage & padded envelope. I work in Crystal City, so a FTF drop-off can be arranged too.) |

ETA again: I wonder if I can get a Fatwa declared against me? I think that's going to be my new project.
Greetings Muslims, this is my stick. I like to stir shit up with it...

I've got 119 rounds of 10mm reload of unknown origin. Somehow I ended up with this bag of reloads and I don't even own a 10mm. I spot checked the brass and they look good, but I cannot testify to the load. The headstamps are mixed and the round is FMJ with a truncated cone. Free to a good home before I take 'em somewhere to be destroyed. I also have two RamLine magazines for the Taurus PT-99 still in the packaging. I'm in the Dulles area. ETA - I also have a stock Ruger 10/22 trigger group that came from my 10/22 build. ETA2 - The 10mm ammo and the trigger group are spoken for. Still have the mags |

I have a set of cleaning brush/mop/patch-holder set for shotguns (1 set for 12 gauge and 1 set for 20 gauge plus patch-holder). They came with the cleaning kit I bought but I don't own shotguns.
I also have about 30 AR-15 stripper clips. I think most of them are new. For anyone with an old school surefire, I have: - extra P60 lamp assembly. - 12v car adaptor for surefire rechargeable battery charger (Model T001 DC Adaptor) - C100 series overnight battery charger with 110v power supply |

Free to a good home...
One pair of light-tan Timberland boots, size 6M (Medium?) - I think my daughter wore them once. One large microwave, probably abt 15 years old (made when microwaves took up a good chunk of your counter). (A bit old, but it will still heat your left-overs like no tomorrow.) I was going to use it in the downstairs kitchenette that I'm piecing together, but it's just a bit too big. If you want it, we'll figure out where we can meet, since as heavy as it is, we're sure not going to ship it!

Our pellet stove died last winter and we aren't replacing it since we updated the old AC to AC/HP this year, and we also have a wood stove for backup heat. We have nine 40# bags of wood pellets left that have been stored in the house, so they've stayed nice and dry.
We're in Inwood. |

Bump to keep this from being archived.....
The above boots and microwave are still available, and I also have a new item to add: GE 26" (+/-) television. This is the epitomy of 'old school' as it's one of the console-type units that's entirely encased with wood paneling. It has a swivel-base, so you can adjust the angle side to side. No remote, but you can hook it up to cable/satellite, etc. 19" d, 34" w, 38" h. Being old, it's heavier than ass, so it's definitely not an item to be shipped. No idea how old it is, but it works well other than the screen is a bit dark. (So when there's a scene that's in the dark, you can't see details very well.) Someone gave it to me when our TV blew it's cookies, and it's served us well. Now I was able to replace it, and I'd like to pass it on to somebody who has need for a TV. If you want it, give me a shout and we can arrange a pick-up time. |

I have a brand new, in the box, unopened Leapers UTG Car Length Quad Rail free floating kit. Leapers number 416SF. Full part number MNT-HG416SF. Cheaper Than Dirt part number ARR-390. After postage & packing it's not worth sending back - it was a Christmas present. This takes a LOT of work to install & you had better have a forearm grip removal tool & AR-15 tool.
I will ship USPS Priority flat rate small box. Pay it foreward folks!!! |
A righthander shooting a leftie. Hey - it was cheap!

Not sure how I missed this thread, but it appears I'm late to the party. Can't believe nobody's taken bubbles up on the pellets for a stove! Here's what I have to throw in:
I'll add to the list as I find more. |
A democracy exists until the voters discover that they can vote themselves money from the public treasure. From that moment on the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most money.

They're still available, and it's cold outside... If you're along I-81 I'll even deliver 'em on my way home from work one afternoon. |
