So, there was a fellow ARFCOM'r that had junk laying around and offered it up to the first person that contacted him. That was me. After several times of conflicting schedules, we finally met up. Nonetheless, his "junk" was really useful to me and was worth some money though I don't plan on selling it off. This is where this thread comes in. Is this allowable to VA members only for a pay it forward type thread? I'd like to get this started as to build more of fellowship between ARFCOM'rs of Virginia. Is this able to get tacked up top? Will I be violating any rules? Obvouisly I would have to lay down some rules like ABOLUTELY no WTS/WTB type post. Just ... pay it fowards For those that don't know what a "Pay it foward" is, here's an example. Joe: "I have a set of rear and front BUIS to give to someone" John: "Hi Joe, I'll take the set of BUIS. I offer up my stripped lower up for grabs" Jane: "Hi John, I'll gladly take your stripped lower. I'll put my KAC rail covers up in exchange" So on and so forth... Bad idea or good idea? <3 Carlo P.S. Hey Carlo, I, too, have been a recipient of a pay-it-forward type thread, in which I asked where I could find an M16A1 buttstock screw and QUIET just sent one to me for free! I think it's a good idea and don't see why we wouldn't be able to start one here in the VAHTF. I've been trying to clear out the safe/parts box and don't have much of anything left. Off the top of my head, I know I have a spare trigger guard if anyone wants it. Lemme see if there's any other ETA: I'm in NOVA |
Thanks! I just have a lot of stuff to give out but rather give it to people who need it or could contribute to the cause. Maybe we could try it out for a month and if doesn't work, we could close the thread?

Thats what I'd like to hear. Also, just to throw this out there, maybe those that are eligible to call "dibs" on pay it forward items have to at least have 50 or 100 post. something to that affect to promote being active on the site versus being a lurker. |
