I talked to the guys at Citadel and BRA and they only had DPMS. Is there a source for RRA or Stag in town?

I have been checking it but I am too slow. They all seem to sell in a day or so. I guess I could put up a WTB post....

I have seen those and might just have to bite on one but I really want to stay local if at all possible. I will give it until my CCW arrives and if I dont find one at least I will save the $25 NICS fee  then.

Biggest thing I have found is that LAS local deals do not exist. Remember where you are. I go around this town looking for stuff. For example: Glock 21 mags. Can be had on the internet for $16.50. Cheapest I saw here was BRA and they had them for $20 + tax. Citadel was $30. I say you as the informed consumer, LAS is not a place for you. Although it is nice to give support locally, this place doesn't require your local support. In fact they thrive on non-local support. Some other guy who doesn't know any better will spend his money on that lower, that mag, that stock, that what-have-you...

Black Rifle Armory has RRA lowers (or at least they usually have them) and IIRC, they were $128 for the last one i got.

I was in thier last week, he told me he had ordered 24 RRA lowers, he said RRA would not commit to a ship date. He said they would have a sale on lowers when they move into the new shop, and start constuction on the range sometime in the next few weeks.

I have a kit waiting for a lower.

Hmmm I wonder why he didnt mention this to me when I asked. Perhaps he was worn out from the show. I did ask him about an hour before close time on Sunday.

Thanks for the heads up.

Andrew,

Hopefully by the time you get your CCW Martin will have received the lowers and you will avoid the extra NICS fee.

If you order a lower online you will have to pay shipping, a transfer fee to the dealer receiving it, and then the NICS fee if your CCW is not in.

Waiting for the RRA's to come in at Martin's seems like the best way to go....

Thats my logic on it as well. If he had them in now The $25 wouldnt bother me. I just don't want to pay the $25 on top of shipping and transfer fee.

Anyone know where they are moving to? I kind of like having them so close by.

If something is only $10-$15 more to get it local , I will support the local shops.
Good to here BRA is already expanding into more space. Cool place. Nice to have 3 decent places to visit close by ( BRA , CenterMass , Spurlocks ).

Just dont make me go to American Shooters

BRA will be in the same building. They are knocking down the wall and taking over the next suite. Range will be in the back.

*has* is probably the oprative word there. i've purchased two RRA lowers from them this year.

you just gotta catch him when he has 'em in stock, or you're SOL.

don't know about special orders, but he had some trouble with the paperwork on a recievership/transfer i had him hnadle for me... and it's still in limbo untill i can find the contact info for the shop i bought it from and get them to send their FFL to BRA *again*. third time's the charm, right?

You can go with RBPrecision, they have several FFLs in Vegas on hand--Pawn Place and Citadel are on the list.

RB Precision is a good place to get a lower from. Right now they are offering a Superior Arms Lower with Parts Kit installed for $128.00. But they also carry Stag, RRA, and a few other's I believe. Shipping was fast to my FFL.

some FFLs in town dont charge $25 for a stripped lower!! some charge $15 like bargain pawn (last i checked at least) just wait till you get your CCW, i too am waiting for that CCW to come in so save up some $$$, so when the CCW comes in you can spend away

I went to their site, that $128 was not listed anywhere, but i guess i should call. What's up with the set screw, is that necessary?

Can you legally buy a current production AR15 lower on the Internet and have it transferred to a dealer in Nevada if you are a Kommiefornia resident?

Just askin'.

What does citadel charge for a transfer?

I know AIM has Machine Gun Kellys FFL. He is the cheapest transfer in town that I know of. $20-25.

That is good to know. I just got my CCW in yesterday(71 days) so I will be getting one shortly.

I also see the Kel-Tec Sub2000 on your site. Do you keep these in stock or is it something you have to order? I would be interested in one that takes SIG226 magazines. I also see that you list a hard chromed/black version. This is the first I have seen or heard of it in that finish. Is that current stock or something coming out soon?

Welcome to the forum BTW

Finally got a chance to swing by and check out Island Tactical.  Nice store, can't wait to see what else comes in now that the whole handgun portion is up and running too!  Good to meet Jason- real nice guy and was very helpful.  Looking forward to going back and picking some of that stuff up.  (it was a big no-no to make any purchases while on duty )

We have the ability to get the Kel-Tec Sub2000 that take the SIG mags a few times a month but it's something you'd have to order as we do not stock in the store. We have the Glock and Beretta models on the wall right now. Just let me know when you need one.

Thanks

Wassamatter?  Never heard the phrase before?  Meat wagon, glorified first aid, paragod, wahmubulance, AMR=ah, my ride, medicaid taxi... I could go on... it's against company policy to make any purchases of that sort while on duty/on the rig, and I can't carry either.... I'm not LEO and I never know when I'm going to run a call in a gov't building anyway so I can't delay going in so I can lock it up- not to mention there's no place I would trust a weapon being secured on the truck.  Kinda sucks.
