Hi Guys/Gals, here is a link to our 2014 training schedule:
http://www.inextremisconsulting.com/#!calendar-/c5l8 Please don't hesitate to ask any questions here, via our website or Facebook account. Thanks and we look forward to training with you! All of us learn things from our students every class so on a personal level I am really excited. |

I'd like more info on your precision rifle course, but there is no hotlink on the schedule for it.. Just text. I know several people who would like to take it but can't make the date that is scheduled. I guess you will have to catch the next one then.... |

exx1976: Thanks for the heads up, it is appreciated. I contacted our web guy and it should be taken care of ASAP.
Flamethrower: We would be happy to put together a Precision Rifle course for you and your buddies on a date that works. We just need a minimum of 4 students. Please let me know if that is something you are interested it. Harv: We shot together in a couple of Pat Rogers classes. I was there for the infamous "stitches" incident. |

We are allowed to post regarding new classes once per month (in the Hometown Forum) until such time as we are accepted as professional trainers by the mods.

This is true for members of the Professional Exchange Program. You can identify those members by the little pistol icon under the member name/avatar. Since you do not have that icon, you're not a member of the program. Did you send an email to me with your instructor credentials? |

ShotTherapy_JR, The Day/Night course is a version of a training package that we put together for an LE agency. It allows a student to work both pistol and rifle skills during daylight, twilight and hours of darkness. Besides the shooting aspect we cover gear selection and setup that works well in times of low visibility. It also allows students with night vision equipment to properly zero IR lasers and utilize them in a training environment on varied targets including longer range steel.
We also discuss the application of white light and night vision technology for personal and home defense. We also have demo NV gear so students have the opportunity to check out what the tech has to offer and make a more informed buying decision whether from us or another company. It is a great class if you have never had the opportunity to do extensive training in low/no light. |
| I sincerely believe that anyone who is seeking training should take the time and spend the money on these guys. This is a dedicated facility near Black River Falls for the training that you do not have to travel far (relative to the next closest) to get to. Most of the training held in WI and nearby States is at traditional ranges which present limitations on space and construction. The space and construction limitations also limit curriculum. In my research regarding training, most training near this level is more expensive and requires traveling several States over to attend. Much of the training where the trainers come to local ranges is abbreviated because of the inherent limitations of these local ranges. |

So basically, the range is owned by the trainers, and not a bunch of fudds who will hang out during the course and enforce their cold range funds rules and other stupid shit while never actually partaking in said training. Thanks for the kind words Servo, I am still trying to suppress that incident I am intrigued by several courses, and always enjoy getting out, learning new stuff and meeting like minded shooters. |

Their web developer is not a full-time web developer? My bad. Either way, they could have posted the info in here, yes? I will do my best to give some explanation as I understand things. For starters, Servo is one of the part time instructors for In Extremis and has a (more than) full time professional job which has nothing to do with web development or surfing message forums. He is not one of the primary instructors for the Precision Rifle Course so the description would not be at his finger tips. They likely do not have a full rime web developer on staff and whoever fills this role has been busy the last 2 days since you originally gave the feedback. There has not been enough serious interest so far in the Precision Rifle Course to actually hold one, so I am betting that the Curriculum has not been set in stone. I would expect it to be fluid depending on the needs and experience level of the Students. A detailed description of the Practical Rifle Course is posted.... http://www.inextremisconsulting.com/#!practical-rifle/cdjt My understanding is that the Precision Rifle Course takes it to the next level and focuses on the full distance available at the range which will be at least 600 yards and the use of a more precision rifle at that distance. If you want a better first hand description in order to make an informed decision whether to attend, I would encourage you to call or E-mail Evan at Griffin Armament... http://griffinarmament.com/contact/ |

Hey sorry I'm still writing the curriculum for that course and unfortunately we are swamped prepping for SHOT show too much to focus on things that are planned for 3rd quarter. I'll try to work on it before I leave if I have time, if not It will get up before the end of January. Like interceptor said, we all have day jobs so as much as I would love to pour more time into the training group (more than I already do) there is only so many hours in a day. I will say this for anyone that has been through some pretty advanced precision rifle schooling this course will probably not satisfy. We are looking to do a basic precision course that touches on common precision rifle tasks. It will still be very insightful for beginners to intermediate shooters, and I am really looking forward to it. I'm hoping over time we can generate the interest for more advanced courses. -Evan |

Let us know when you have it up, I'm interested to check that one out. Some of the others are pretty interesting too, but at $400 a crack and an entire weekend's worth of time, I'll need to pick and choose what to attend. :) Thanks! |

What? I don't recall reading anything about the training being mobile or special permits being issued to cross borders? Like Scarlett Johansson cooking my bacon breakfast-in-bed sammich the next morning...it's only a FIB dream. When IL non-resident concealed carry permits extend beyond Hawaii, we can talk about negotiating safe passage... ![]() |
