The Professional Exchange program represents our growing effort to encourage all forms of firearm training for users in the AR15.Com community. Having the tools to defend yourself represents only part of what truly makes you secure. Having the training to put that tool to work with confidence could be the difference maker in many situations. With this in mind, the idea for the Professional Exchange was born. This program will be open to individuals in the training and instructional fields who are a part of a facility or provide freelance or private instruction. In order to quality for this program, you must be able to provide proof be it in the form of a business email address, previous instructional history, etc. Our goal is to ensure that this resource is as strong as possible. Acceptance into the program will be: - At the discretion of the Site Staff - On a limited basis (more instructors will be approved as the program grows) Please be patient with us as we allow this program to grow through both user and instructor involvement. We will continue to expand and modify the program in order to best meet everyone's expectations. Our goals are pretty visible for this and we need to validate it's success. We reserve the right to deny/revoke any approved instructors for failing to meet the standards we've set and to alter the program as we deem necessary to improve it's impact on the community. Once accepted into the program, your user account will be flagged as an instructor. The benefits are as follows: - A small icon to quickly identify you as an instructor with every post you make. - The ability to post new threads in our Tactical Courses forum for your classes. - The ability to post new threads in our Training Facilities forum. - The ability to have your information shared in a hometown resource collection for your area. (Direct exposure to local shooters.) - Industry Partners may request a forum established in the Training Community to further showcase their offerings! The program is being established to allow you a good deal of freedom on the site to create more advertising by simply being involved. This leads into the next obvious discussion, what are the costs and requirements? There are ZERO costs for this program, what is required of you is simple: - Your active involvement with the AR15.Com community. (This means answer questions, start discussions, etc in any of our communities from Training to AR-15 discussions!) The benefits of being involved are obvious. The more you become involved with the community, the more people will value your knowledge, the more people will look up your course offerings and information, and hopefully this will lead to an increase in attendance for training, which benefits us all. If you wish to make special announcements to offer training at discounts in hometown forums, please contact any Senior Staff member or Administrator for approval. We do not foresee any denials, but we do require approval before these are posted outside this area to help ensure these types of posts are not abused. The AR15.Com Professional Exchange aims to make an impact to how everyone views their firearms. We wish to continue to work with the best and brightest in the firearms community and offer our extended family every possible option to be prepared if the need ever arises. SIGN UPS ARE NOW LIVE - EMAIL va-gunnut@ar15.com WITH THE SUBJECT LINE "PROFESSIONAL EXCHANGE" TO APPLY. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT INITIAL APPROVALS WILL BE STAFF DECISIONS AND WILL BE LIMITED! MAKE SURE TO INCLUDE A BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE COMPANY'S NAME, LOCATION, COURSE OFFERINGS, AND YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION. IF YOU HAVE BEEN AN ACTIVE MEMBER OF THE SITE, PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR USERNAME AS WELL. Instructors please include a "resume" of your credentials! We don't expect instructors to run "online course" in the training forum but your participation in these forums is part of the reason we created this program. Instructors that aren't actively posting in here or their respective hometown forum will be removed. |

Now this may just be one of the best damn ideas I have seen here yet and I've seen lots of good ones. Giving members a chance to identify instructors will be a tremendous help in lots of threads on here. Everyone here is full of advice. We are all guilty of that sometimes. But sometimes the advice we give here in these forums is not always sound or beneficial. Obviously, if someone is identified as an instructor, then that will help people to be more confident about any advice or information presented. In other words, it helps lessen the negative effects of "gun shop tall tales" that always seem to strike the inexperienced.
And obviously, this will make it much easier to locate instructors from specific areas, ask them about their courses, keep track of course dates and sign up for them. A great idea here folks. |

Here within the next 9 months to a year I'm going to try and get my own school and training program up and running. I've done some one on one training and have co-instructed a few couses, but would really like to get my own gig up and runn'n. Any pointers from all of the people who are already established in the training comunity would be greatly appreciated.

Approval process involves staff feedback and can often times be a bit slow. A number of new approvals will be going in shortly and we have another batch of pending requests.
We are trying to do our best to ensure some sort of check is being done before flagging accounts for participation. I apologize for the delays! |
