Pistol range is probably good to go but yeah I've been to the rifle range once after a rain shower and it was muddy with standing water on the firing line.

What he ^ said is most likely the truth. The pistol range is all gravel now, so it should be fine, but the rest of the joint is still dirt so I bet it's about as squishy and mucky as all of our backyards.

I'll take a ride over there on Friday and let you know.

You should be good to go. Pistol, Rifle and Rifle long range were all being used. Conditions were "soft" ground but still useable and the driveways were slightly muddy but in good driving condition. Range was very clean and kept up as usual. Have a good shoot!

I'm not sure where you're located or where you're driving from, but you may want to consider attending this shoot in Shawano tomorrow.

Shawano is a pretty good haul from my locale.  Plus I have two first time shooters with me that I want to spend as much one on one time training as possible.  I appreciate the info though.  Thank you.

Public range.  No one working at range, although the Shiocton PD controls the range and I have seen a squad drive in from time-to-time just to do a routine check on things.  All the officers I've ever met have been friendly and chitchat a bit...they're gun guys, too.  I hear they have a really nice pistol range, but I haven't checked it out up close yet since the remodel.  From the road driving in to the rifle ranges it looks way cool.  They have two rifle ranges; 200 yards and 565 yards.  Uncovered benches are provided on the rifle ranges.  50 cal and Tannerite-type stuff is allowed.  Full auto is also allowed, but it is much appreciated at the Shiocton PD if you call in advance to let them know you'll be using the happy switch.

I had the Shiocton Chief stop out last year when I did a get together there. Said he had heard a couple guys were shooting some loud stuff. I told him we had tannerite and proceeded to show him how it's mixed, how it works etc. I told him we'd stop using it if it was a problem. Pretty much his exact words to me were, "No I want to see it go off!!" So we touched one off and he said carry on!!
