THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT
I've contacted Parruthead and asked about having a HTF shoot at Shawano this spring. Shawano would be very happy to have us up there again.
The way it stands now, these would be the available dates in March: Saturday the 3rd or the 10th. The next available date would be sometime in April. The clubhouse will be open for a place to stay warm, and we'll have a pot of chili, bread, and other good stuff to eat. And there will be plenty of Root Beer, Energy Drink and other refreshments of course. Does this appeal to anyone? Is there enough interest to make this an organized shoot? Any dates more preferable over another? I'm looking for some input here to see where this may go.

I'm near Shawano and have not attended a HTF shoot, so I'd be up for anything.

Yeah, I'm in. The 12 min drive home from the range wipes a guy out after a full day's shoot...
but, I'll suffer.

I'm still planning on going down to Yellowstone, too

How is the weather up there, is there snow on the ground at the range and is the lake frozen?

Coming up there tomrorow... not for good reasons though.

Hey Haws! Weather has been pretty decent last couple of days...sunny, but cool mid-30's. There is some snow still left around
in patches. The range is in GREAT shape, no standing water anywhere. Was out there shooting Sunday before the superbowl.
We painted all the steel day-glow green. No trouble seeing targets anywhere on the range now! Even the 300 yd. steel stands
out like a sore thumb! Collin reports 16" of ice on the lake. He's parking the motorhome (aka. ice shack ) out there tomorrow
to get ready for the fishing jamboree on Sat. Stop out there... you can't miss that thing out on the ice!

I am in if it is the 10th of March...
Today we need a nation of Riflemen, citizens who are not only prepared to take arms but citizens who regard the preservation of freedom as the basic purpose of their daily life and who are willing to consciously work and sacrifice for that freedom

The 10th is also my preferred date. Let's set the tentative date for Saturday, March 10th. How would that work for everybody?
If that seems to work, this should probably be tacked or made sticky. Does anyone know how to do that?

I'd love to make it, but I have a couple weddings in March that I need to focus on and will eat up my weekends. Gotta pay for the repairs on the DSLR somehow

Dad and I will probably be there! I have a couple friends who may want to tag along, too. Had to leave the last Roasted Nutz shoot early because of my piss-poor planning. Won't let that happen again! I had to miss out on all that awesome food I'm hearing so much about.
