my little stack-on 16gun safe...dont keep much ammo or magazines in it as it just takes up to much space...just keep a couple boxes in the safe. All my other ammo and magazines is in ammo cans waiting for a second safe dedicated for ammo. (those cleaning cloths are a must for me, cannot handle a gun and put it back without wiping it down)

I too have been looking at doing something similar to this with my Liberty. The only thing I would do different is to stagger the rows, so that the rifle are not in line with each other. I would do this so that when I stack say an AR (with a pistol grip) behind a hunting rifle (w/ a scope) there would not be any interference between the scope and the pistol grip.

You have to have some hand painted gold striping on it. Go with a nice deep dark finish and gold pin striping.

My wifes jeweler has a safe just like yours with a deep dark black paint job and gold striping. I compliment the jeweler on his safe every time I come in.

Check out this hulkin' bastard.  It's the Gibralter from Sportsman Steel.  They use it on the Price is Right...claim it holds 300 guns.  It's around $10K - bit out of my current price range.

Do NOT buy from Sportmsan Steel Safes.  Biggest bunch of jackasses I've EVER worked with.  My 2 friends and I each bought one of their large models several years back This is the safe we each bought, but several years ago, so some of the details are slightly different.  Anyway, we each experienced shady sales practices, slippery "details," late deliveries, and then on one of them the door wouldn't even close completely, but they didn't notice, so we had to fight with them to have them come back and grind on it some (several days later) so it would shut.

They have great prices, very marginal safes, and they are complete a**holes...

The welding around the doors is questionable too.

I have this exact safe. Im about to order another. The price is down to $2600 delivered. When i ordered the first one the semi was not allowed on my road. I had to meet him on the side of the main street and put the safe in the back of a buddies chevy avalanche. The truck driver rolled it right into the bed and oh man did that chevy sink down. My buddy told his wife he would be back in 45 minutes. Well it took him and I over 4 hours to move this thing into my house. Cant wait to do it again.......

Call them when you place your order! I got the LEO version of that safe with 2hr fire rating and the lights n such for 2200 delivered inside my house. They are doing some good deals, you just need to talk to the manager.

edit - I say this because my patriot safe is scheduled for delivery tomorrow morning!

Thanks. Mine was long overdue too. Once my son got more mobile it was easy to convince my wife that "we" needed one! It was on clearance at MC Sports so it was a good bargain; 1/3 of the price I would have paid for the Browning I wanted!

Finally got around to taking some pics.
This is my only safe at the moment. Not my favorite type, but it was free from my parents when I moved out. Most of my collection came from when I lived at home, since moving out money has been pretty limited. I really want to upgrade asap, but it's going to take some time.
It's a Sentry. Not sure on the exact size but you can get an idea from the pic.
I can't fit all my guns in there so my surplus guns are just in an old glass front wood gun cabinet.

Loaded handgun mags are on top shelf
Unloaded extra mags are on lower shelf

Guns in there currently are
BCM AR15
Mossberg 500 Persuader/Cruiser
Marlin .22mag
Marlin 60
Mossberg 500BB 16GA
Springfield MilSpec 1911
HK USP 45 full size
Glock 19
1943 Ithaca 1911
Taurus 66 .357 from late 80's
Sig Mosquito

Liberty Lincoln 35 delivered on Tuesday:

It took two months to get it, but it was worth the wait.  I'm extremely happy with it and I'm SO glad I didn't get a 25.  I was debating going one smaller or down to a Franklin and buying a gun with the difference, but decided to stick with this.  Of course, I bought more three guns and two suppressors since I bought it because I didn't want what I already had to be lonely

Thanks HardShell!

I've put the rack back on my table (the room is 100% hobby stuff––a big rack for dive gear, a table to work on stuff, and now the safe) to use when cleaning.  I don't have enough handguns to need much of that space yet.  I have one secured in my bedroom and another is my usual carry gun, so only a Buckmark is always kept in the safe.

I have no idea what the hell I'm going to do to get the ARs up a little bit higher.  I considered a Shell Shelf, but that's still not enough height for the SBR even with the stock extended fully.  I'm just going to lean it against the side until space becomes a concern.  Even the 16" is barely tall enough––I can just get the flash suppressor to sit inside the rest when I extend the stock.

Have you looked at Rifle Rods?

I haven't used them, persoanally, but lots of folks here seem to like them...

They seem like a great idea, but as long as I have an abundance of space I don't mind if the few that are in there are space hogs.

Got my Franklin 50 last week and finally got everything moved in and lighting run. I looked at the Lincoln series but decided that the benefits didn't quite justify the cost, plus they had this one in stock. As my first safe, I am very happy with it and don't get nearly as paranoid when I leave the house

and with the room lights off to show the lighting (camera wouldn't focus without the flash)
