Just purchased an AUG A3 & Aimpoint CompM3L. Both should be here next week.
Now I just need a mount for the Aimpoint. Anyone have recommendations? I've done some browsing and there is quite a bit of variety, including height. What height do most people find comfortable (if you had 3 heights, low, standard, and high such as on a cantilever mount)? How about if you add BUIS? Any difference as far as a good co-witness sight picture? ty |

Some folks find that the LT152 LaRue Aimpoint mount works well. It's the one designed for the KAC RAS2 rail. http://stores.homestead.com/Laruetactical/Detail.bok?no=41 Only problem with this setup is finding BUIS that will be at the correct height. There should be a new rail along soon that is AR-15 height, and will eliminate some of the issues with the odd height of the A3 rail. |
