Looks like the weather is turning out to be a nice day with just a little rain. I'm happy to report that LMT sent us a 7" 40mm Launcher to test the myth that a 7" barrel cannot arm a M433 Grenade, so we will be testing that theory on Saturday. We will be bringing a case of M433's as well as most of our MG's. Below is our discounted price list from our normal Saturday shoots at our range. With time permitting, we will be demo'ing our 1964 US Marine Flamethrower, M433 40mm HEDP rounds including one out of a 7" launcher, 200 rounds out of our Minigun, Bolwing Ball mortar, and our Ma Deuce, but this is dependant on the event organizer (Jake) since he's got a really busy day planned for everyone. We accept Cash and credit cards.

Yesterday was a blast. I want to thank all of ya'll for it. It was neat meeting so many fellow ARFcomers as well as non. Several of ya'll I didn't catch your handles, so I can't call yall out personally, but if your one of the ones I met, thanks. I'm the one with the 12 year old who was wearing a black hoodie in the heat. One of you allowed my boy to shoot your M16 and when I wasn't able to record it, you let him shoot another mag. @MHIDPA Thanks for letting him hang the 81mm mortar at the end of the day. It dawned on me after he fired it, you would have to wait for a cease fire to retrieve it and pack up. Hope that did hamper your wrap up. @TreddBarton you randomly chose my son to launch the bowling ball mortar. He told me later that he was concentrating on the clapper so much he didn't watch it fire. @SGT-Fish we circled back to your booth many times during the day. Your guys were great, especially the one with a super safty on a braced pistol. Thanks for setting this up. I hope this continues and so does my boy. My boy doesn't show emotion around strangers, so don't feel bad if he wasn't smiling ear to ear. As soon as we got in the truck to leave he talked non-stop and when his mother got back to the place where we were staying at, he went a mile a minute. Haven't seen him this excited in awhile. |

Thats awesome to hear! And yeah I am really proud of my team. All of them are guys I've served in the Army with. Dustin is great working with people and trying to get them comfortable with the guns. He told me about your son and said he could just sense the excitement from him. I was really glad to see how many people brought kids out to experience the event, even if it made the southington staff a little nervous. Most smaller MG shoots I've gone to don't encourage spectators or kids. So I was hoping we could have something to get the next generation involved. With the exception of the rain, it really was about perfect. And the range owner even came down with his mule and a couple 50 cal MGs to join in the fun. So hopefully that means he liked us and we can do it again next year. |

Should have some details soon. We will have reserved firing line positions, likely 6ftx20ft positions with options to get a double spot. That'd allow you to set up a canopy or two for rain and sun protection. Sponsorship/advertisement opportunities will be available for anyone interested. Sponsors for target vehicles and explosives, lighting for a night shoot, a dumpster, porta-johns, etc would all be incredibly appreciated and really make sure this is a successful event |

Can't wait for this. Putting in my time off at work now. For the range, what's the policy if we rent a spot and decide to walk around? Can we just leave our weapons there? I'd like to shoot my M203. I know this year won't be the same for my youngest. A lot of people treated him very well and gave us deals cause he was that young kid. He's now 13 and in one year now has a mustache and looks alot older. He is so looking forward to this though. |

My guys will still give him some deals. If you are just shooting an m203 and some regular guns, you could probably get away with just a general admission ticket and competition sign up. We are renting the whole facility this year so it'll just be one admission price. Cheaper than last year and no shooter/non-shooter wristbands. Main line shooters will have a badge. But if someone wants to let you guys shoot on their spot, they can also lend you a badge. All this to say, if you miss out on reserving a spot, or you dont want to pay the price for one, dont feel like you cant still come and shoot and have fun. |

Just wanted to clarify a few things. 1. If I want to set up my mortar and shoot other than the competition, I need to buy a spot on the line? 2. Whoever I hand the pass to can share the spot as long as it is 2/4 at a time? 3. Is there an additional range fee like last year? |

We just need some sort of control so people aren't getting into spots they shouldn't be. 3. No extra fees this year. Part of the cost increase is because I am renting the whole facility this year. So I can control the prices and whatnot. And we are adding the night shoot portion. I forgot to add that buying a spot also counts as registering for the mortar or grenade launcher competition. So dont pay extra for those |

I just saw that I didn't totally answer your question. Yeah leaving guns at your spot would be alright. Since there wont be random people walking up to your spot this year. Best to let you neighbor know so they can keep an eye on them. |

Looks like I grabbed the last spot on the line. I wasn't expecting it to sell out that fast! Great going. Of course I got a competition ticket too before reading that I didn't need it. Really looking forward to it. I'll have the 81 and probably some super safe stuff. |
