So sometimes I miss stuff and sometimes I put too much. Looks like we have most of the same artillery coming plus a couple new pieces. I am putting ads in some military vehicle collectors newsletters and magazines to drive up attendance and hopefully have a nice military vehicle/reenactor display area. There will also be a firing line for blank fire cannons only. So maybe we will get some more booms there too. I know the price for line spots sucks, but the range didn't want to cut me any breaks this year. They keep saying "make the event bigger," but it takes years to build up an event like this without me dropping 10s of $K on advertising and infrastructure. With no guarantee that id make it back. |
Meh. Keep it for the lost mortar return fund.  I'll admit that I was a little taken back by the new prices, but then I went back and looked at what I paid last year. In light of the 8hr trip to Ohio and everything associated with it by the time I split the cost with a buddy it's not really that much more. It's worth it to keep this event going. Also, even though there are a lot of guys with stuff orders of magnitude more expensive than mine, the DD world just isn't cheap by any stretch of the imagination. |

I had one guy calling me and complaining that the 12ft wasn't enough space but he didn't want to pay for more. Then showed me all his collection of transferable beltfeds and pallet racks full of ammo. I told him my costs and he basically said I should be making more money. Lol. The price isn't much more per person if you can split the costs with a friend. Which is why I offered the half size spots. Plus we can fit more cool stuff. Anyway, im working on some event t-shirts. When the design is ready I will post them for presale on the ticket site |

I think part of the issue is the main firing line isn’t all that wide so the cost is a bit high per spot. Hopefully as the event gains popularity the cost will come down due to the increased number of attendees paying admission. Regardless I’m anticipating a good time.

If anyone packs up and leaves before then, abandoning their spot, we will probably open up their spot to whoever wants it to shoot or to spectate. |

Both were long time knob creek vendors and attendees. 40mm competition is 8rds of ammo. Ranked by how many points you get. Last year we had 2 targets at different distances. Bengles Bullets and Launcherpope will be running the competition this year. So we will see how they set it up. This year it will take place at the 40mm range, which will be in one of the side bays. The range will be open all day for practice and demos by the 40mm vendors. Attendees will have a wrist band. So just dont cut it off. |

There is also the 100yd range, just to the west of the main line, that we are opening this year for walk-up shooters. We will have a target vehicle there and a handful of other targets to shoot. It needs added to the map as well. |

I believe the waivers should be the same. I may have made that too confusing on the ticketing part. Here is the link. Thanks for letting me know, I will take a look at it. There will also be some available at the event. But pre-order is definitely the way to make sure you get one. Idk how many they are going to make for the event. I did make sure the t-shirt price is $20. I told the company I dont want people paying crazy prices. I work real hard to keep the prices low for families to be able to come. The range has even told me I need to charge more. Tickets are actually cheaper this year than if you went to one of their open range days. |

But since I cant get a quote for transport (except for $3k for two full days of truck and trailer) then southington may staff the 700yd range and let people use it. Just note that it is a PRECISION 700yd range. So you cant just go up there and start blasting away with a 7" SBR and no sights. |

A couple vendors and potential vendors have said that it'd be better for them as well. Since they are used to 2 day gunshows. Getting enough staff/volunteers is the tricky part |
