| i need some info on how to make this work. I want an ak pistol (10.5") that I can suppress with one of my current suppressors. I don't know a whole lot about AKs and I'm a little confused about what all I need to make this happen. Apparently u have to make sure the threads on the muzzle are concentric to the barrel. And then u have to get an adapter for the threading so it will for a 5/8x24 threaded suppressor? Is that even right? Is there more to it than that? Where can I find the right adapter? If someone can school me on this and give me any other pertinent or helpful info, I'd really appreciate it. I'm hoping to get either the rugged surge 7.62 QD suppressor or the sig Sauer 762 titanium QD to work with this new set up/project bc I already have those two suppressors. |

Well just to let you know, AK's make terrible suppressor hosts, they are loud. But I'd get one of those Galil Ace pistols. I believe they are already threaded for 5/8x24 and are probably threaded correctly, unlike most AK's, and it's sealed up better compared to most AK's. I have a AAC 762-SDN-6 suppressors and I like it a lot, so I'd recommend it.
AAC doesn't have adapters for regular AK thread pitches because you'll probably get a battle strike since ask threads are done so poorly. If you go with a regular AK, I would have someone chop the barrel and thread it for you. |

CNC warrior makes an adaptor I beleive. Here's my 12.5" Wasr and Sandman. I haven't shot it yet Attached File |

MAC tried to suppress his ace in a video, it was super overgassed and wouldn't run with a can on it. Honestly if I was gonna suppress an AK I'd get the dead air pbs-1 Quoted:

I have a suppressed 1964 Polish Milled... and I wanna say its marked CAI....
I removed the flash hider and mounted a YHM Phantom QD. Ran perfect from the 1st shot. On a side note, this gun has a factory "grenade launching" adjustable gas block...On or Off... So if you shut it off, it turns the gun into a suppressed single shot....VERY Noice! I have the C39 milled pistol and a Cugir RPK.....both need mounts...but yes, I suppress ALL the things!! |

You forgot the step where you carve a gash in your gas piston to relieve gas so the bolt carrier doesn't hammer the rear trunnion out of the receiver because it's over gassed. It's not a great idea. I would never have bothered if the factory hider hadn't launched itself on the first range session and ruined the threads. I let my gunsmith deal with it vs. fighting century for a repair. I used an AAC 30 cal hider in 1/2" threads. |
