I got them a few weeks back, they came in early.  When I got them there was no moon out and overcast.  Took them in the middle of a ranch about 7-8 miles away from any light source and I could walk fence lines and trails pretty easy without an ir light.  I was pretty impressed.

Then I came down with covid.  Came back a couple nights ago and its a full moon.  Had to turn the gain way down. These things are awesome.

Filmless, No Spec Sheet - 2376 min FOM and no spots, peppering, or blems that I could see in either tube.

TNVC Sam recommended saving up for something else, guessing DTNVS, but for the price I got them for (3-4k less than everyone) and everything I got with them (battery pack, cable, lens covers,), I couldn't pass it up.

My first pvs-14 was an ITT enforcer.  It had a really good image, but it would streak when a light source hit it.  That drove me nuts and ended up trading it for a rifle.  These blow that out of the water.  No regrets so far.

Nice. Crazy $3-4k under “market” is just retail pricing.

Shoot me an IM and I'll send you a mini carabiner and a 10mm split ring so that you can streamline your retractable retention. I had your same setup a while back and ordered a couple of bulk packs of micro carabiners and titanium split rings.

You can get an assortment of black split rings on Amazon for like 5 bucks. And I use those mini carabiners on a lot of stuff, tools and flashlights etc

Appreciate the offer!  I'm actually using aluminum alloy clips from amazon and I clip one directly to the PVS-14.  It can be a PITA to unclip.  I'll get a pack of split rings, thanks for the idea.  I'd really like a better way to secure the lanyard to the helmet like you have with a bungee.  What helmet cover would you guys recommend for an ops-core bump?  I've been looking at the TNVC mohawk gen 2.

@climber_

The helmet cover I am running in the above pics is about $60-100 less expensive than the big name brands but it is built using robust materials and quality of construction is just as good as the Gucci brands I have had hands-on time with.

Looking for recommendations on my setup for cable management, should I go with a Mohawk or just a helmet cover to tame all these wires? I'm hoping my DTNVS arrive from TNVC early February, just in time for a few reps until a Kinetic Consulting class in April.
Ops Core MT, Peltor Dual Comms (I don't need dual, but I got a really good deal on them), Unity mounts

The Mohawk is a great option. The pics on the product page show the cable management TNVC Mohawk MK1 Gen 2

Helmet covers are great for attaching cables to or through the loops or running them underneath the cover.

Another option is hook and loop. Use or add loop to the helmet and use some sew on hook sections or something similar. Gaffers tape works too on the shell if you don't want to stick more velcro on your helmet.

Finally got my helmet to the point I'd be willing to post it here. I'm still one of the poors but walking down the driveway to get the mail at night after work has never been so much fun. I need to get a better mounting solution for the lanyard. Also it's kind of funny I keep calling my setup poor with IRL peeps and they keep telling me to shut up because they have kids and no NVG.

@KentuckyWindage What mlok mount is that your using for the scout? My setup is pretty similar to yours but I'm looking for a mount for my scout mini, something preferably with the ability to rotate. I know there's the Remora that I can use, the Thyrm VariArc is out of the question from what I've been told, same with the unity KNUCKL, and I know the S&S m-ax can work but with a bit of drilling and using mlok hardware (only issue is I'd hate to drill and then completely F it up in the process). I was going to go with a scout on the right side (LH shooter) and a MPLS on the left with red/white for low light usage.

I think I’ve got my helmet setup about where I want it. It’s an Ops-Core Carbon and the BNVD is from Robert at JRH.  I’d like to get a Wilcox Lanyard for it eventually, but the tan are back ordered everywhere. Good old fishing tackle will keep it secure for now.

Couple of my Larues are old enough to have Bill’s triggers in them. Best of both worlds IMHO.

ETA, I may be a bit of a contrarian also.

I am using the Magpul M-Lok Offset Scout mount.

https://magpul.com/catalog/product/view/id/6973/s/m-lokoffsetlight-opticmount-aluminum/category/56/?mp_global_color=undefined
It is the only mount that I have used so far that tucks the scout close to the helmet and not sticking out like a damn horn on my head.

Thanks! Picked one up last night and should be here tomorrow from amazon. Now I just wish the Shooters 101 MPLS Mlok was in stock over at goonin gear for a small admin light on the opposite side an I'll be set. Agilite helmet cover should hopefully be coming in the next week or so. Didn't realize their lead times were 10-12 days before shipping out.

I've found I can comfortably wear my peltors under the lid, but am curious if there's more of a benefit using Peltor Arc adapters vs. wearing your earpro under? (In the case of anyone using a flux helmet).

Not an MTEK user but in general, helmet mounted comms generally makes the entire setup more stable (and sometimes more comfortable) with the caveat that you can't run your comms without wearing the whole helmet setup.

That makes sense. I'm running comtac iii's with dual downleads and using disco 32 ptt's along with baofeng radios when I go shoot with our group. Haha makes sense I guess when some guys have more than one helmet setup, each with perhaps a different role in mind (or just OCD). The flux is my first helmet and this whole process is my first "loadout" for a lid, trying to do all the research an see others various setups, but I've noticed....not a whole lot of love out there for the flux as compared to TW or OpsCore, especially in terms of aftermarket parks/accessories etc.
