Revised, these AXL adapters were super hard to snap on, I can only reason the dynamic fuzz velcro made things a bit thicker/harder to bend the material around. All in all I'm really happy with the Rac Link adapters/arms, but am really looking forward to getting a set of AMPS in the future.

I figure better than loose, I was just blown away how easy they went on in the install video compared to my girlfriend and I taking turns smashing on my headset until they clicked.

I purchased the AXL adapters and AMP arms separately. I haven't seen them being sold as a kit.

Almost done with my mtek flux helmet setup and will have pics shortly. Just got an email my Agilite cover is on the way....I had no idea it was coming direct from Israel so that's kinda cool I guess. I'll be dying it black since they were oos and I grabbed the OD green one.

For those of you using the AXL adapters in conjunction with comtacs, I saw they do have one where it allows you to use the boom mic on the left earcup side (obv those using comms like baofeng or other radios). As God's chosen few, LH shooter, I'm a little sad they don't have ref pics for being able to use the mic on the right ear. I plan to email them to ask if they offer but that's my main reason not going the RAC route as I would've liked to. So far though using the ARC adapters I gotta say I'm pretty pleased with them, especially when you get that solid "click" to ensure they lock in place.

My main setup thus far consists of:

PTS Flux Helmet (poor man's bump, but I've seen other folks in here use it for budget setup. Bump is a bump right?)
Comtac iii's dual
3m ARC with mtek adapter
magpul mlok offset scout mount with arisaka 300 body and surefire led bezel an clicky cap (right side)
Shooter 101 MPLS mount with mpls light red/white (left side)
Agilite helmet cover
v-lite light (have several in various colors to use when I shoot at night with the boys)

Still need to get:
Wilcox g24
Nitecore NU05

*Also thank you @KentuckyWindage for recommending the magpul offset mount!

Re: Axl RAC Link

From watching the installation video, the flexible carbon pieces look to be reversible. If this is the case, you can just mirror the ear boom section on the right side.

Thank you so much! I actually just "got off work" and have yet to even watch their installation video so I'm going to do that right now. That being the case and if so, definitely still a viable option that I may consider going. Have yet to truly put the lid to use but I'm hoping to get together with the boys soon to try everything out. Once their kit is in stock I'll pick it up to give em a shot. Utilizing the flux, I can see how the AMP arms give not only more room on top depending on where you'd place your mlok acessories; mohawk recorder, lights, etc etc. But base on looks it seams like the AMP arms act also like a counter weight in a small sense?

Did some work this evening on the granddaughter’s setup. This is a bicycle helmet I’ve added a shroud, a Velcro kit and an air soft counterweight to.  I’ll also be upgrading the chin strap, but it hasn’t arrived yet. Not to bad for 8 years old!

Somehow I never noticed that was an issue when looking at them online. I would have been super disappointed if I ordered them and then realized it after. I use my Peltors for work and need the boom mic

This might seem like....a "don't worry about it, gears supposed to be use ya dum dum" kinda question but...How many folks in here prefer the ops core ARMS over say the unity or 3M adapters? Longevity wise, comfort wise, etc.

I had unity arms before upgrading to ops-core. I've always messed around with the peltor arms that a buddy had.

I'll flat say it, the unity arms kind of sucked. They had issues with not putting enough pressure on the cups to keep them against my ears. They are missing the click out feature that peltor has.

Peltors were marginally better. The ability to click out the ear pro to hear around them is really cool. It is executed best with the peltor arms.

Ops-core arms are really cool mostly because the ear cups are modular and can be removed quickly. Its also cool that they can be removed from the helmet without tools. Because they attach to the rear part of the rails, the horizontal rail is free for other attachments like lights. They provide great tension against my head, and they rotate away to stow very nicely. The only downside is the click out setting is like 90 degrees out so you can't realistically leave the ear cups hanging out like that very long.

All in all I'd pick the ops-core again in a heartbeat.

Here what I got so far. Ops Core Bump, ops core counterweight, Wilcox g24, wilcox J-arm with on/off switch.

I decided to paint my Helmet probably ruining it to some people haha.

Basically I just want to get some patches, sometype of two in one flashlight that does IR and normal white, and some ear pro adapters.

I'm noobie at this stuff so go ez on me.

My bump bucket. Can anyone recommend a good way to mount a x300 on the helmet besides the Thrym Variarc, UNITY options or Echo Arms? Looking for something that can articulate and sits above the ARC rail like a MPLS does.

The Thyrm would be a solid option, but since you want something that sits above the adapters...perhaps this:

https://www.mtekusa.com/flux-accessories/unity-remora

After re-reading I realized you had mentioned unity.....quite frankly the options that are out there that would provide what you're looking for, as far as I know are the only options. Remora is solid since it sits above the adapters, thyrm wich allows rotation (as does the remora as well).

Perhaps the Shooters101 UTM (sits behind the helmet therefore projecting the light up like an umbrella). I'd imagine this could be mounted on the side but not sure how much room you'd have when used in conjunction with the adapters (also doesn't rotate).

The VariArc looks solid. I wish it was compatible with a mtek flux because I like the ability for it to rotate easily, whereas with the Remora it appears you gotta set it to the angle you desire and then once done, it'll sit at THAT angle, and you'd have to unscrew your arc adapter to then re-adjust it (I have no hands on experience so not sure how true this is).

I'd say unless you had your heart set with utilizing an x300, you could always use this: https://ownthenight.com/helmets/product/13224-s-s-precision-m-ax-mount-with-surefire-scout-light-p-n-mxsf-0001/category_pathway-33

Or perhaps the unity tactical Knuckl mount
