I've got a 1988 SIG P226 that I've thought would be nice to modernize with a mounted light, and I was curious if anybody here is using the SureFire MR14A/B to mount an X300 on their non-railed P226.
In the pics I've seen of the MR14 it looks like it puts the light farther forward than it would be on a railed frame. Does this require breaking the normal grip to use the light? Any opinions/experiences with this light would be welcome. I know, I know buy a MK25, but I already have a beater P226 so I'don't care how it looks. |
| Not worth it in my opinion. It does mount the light further forward and makes it awkward when using it. I had to break grip to activate the light. If it's something that you think you can adjust too the hats off to you. I personally could never adapt to it comfortably and just stuck with a handheld light. |
