I should be getting a nice tax return in a few weeks, and I need an AK.
Which AK or AK-style rifle should I get and why? poll inbound. |

All are decent rifles - I think it really depends on what you're looking for in each one.
I'm more of a traditionalist and would choose the Polish milled rifle. It would be a great, standard AK-type rifle to have and the more appealing milled receiver. Very "old school" rifle that many pine for. |

All its going to take is that guy posting the pic of his green Draco with the side folder, Hogue grip, and the rails and the OP will be all over the Draco option. I'm going to do the SBR Draco, eventually, just trying to figure out what I'm going to do first. |

I really don't care where it comes from, I just prefer the stock to be angled downwards and the "battle-worn" look to an AK. As far as I've seen the Polish milled one is the only AK with the stock angled downward. Any milled AK has the stock angled like that. The stamped Chinese do too. You could get a MAK90 and convert it to using a standard stock and pistol grip. It would angle downward and be a damn nice, factory built rifle. But from your choices I'd go with the VZ58. |

I have 3 Dracos and really enjoy each one for what it is. When deciding on the stock the VZ-58 side folder is a great option if you buy a non "C" Draco. If you buy a "C" model then the under folder would be the best option since it already utilizes the trunnion. |
