I'm putting lower together PSA stripped new in wrapper.
My question is about the spring that goes in the lower with bolt catch.
My spring goes in the lower there is a hole for the spring.
Here is my question should the spring be flush with the lower or stick out a little.
Or should it sit down in the lower a little bit.
Mine sits down a little and when I put bolt catch in a does not seem to be a lot of tension.
Could the hole  from the factory for the spring differ from lower to lower from different manufacturers?
I know it is mil. Spec. But we're only talking a few thousands here.
Just want to make sure before I drive roll pin in.
There was only one small spring I have all other springs accounted for.
Thanks
Tom

There is a bullet shaped plunger that sits on top of the spring. It is shaped like a bullet with a tail. Tail goes into spring and bullet end points out.

Glad I didn't run the roll pin in.
Thanks

Edit because I had not watched the bolt catch installation video and do not agree with the method shown. Sorry I posted the link.

Check out the stickies here. There are a couple great threads detailing how to build a lower with plenty of pics.

Here

These guides are way better than youtube.

+1 - i watched the videos first to get an idea of what will happen - but used the printouts for the actual build.
