Hey everyone, so I am about to order some parts, going with a MK18 build. Unfortunately I have been gone from the AR-15 world for so long, I feel a little lost and I have a few questions. I have been searching the site but haven't come across these answers. Any help would be appreciated.
1. with a 10.3" barrel, what exactly do I need to go through with the NFA, and how much does this usually cost. If its state by state, I am in MN. 2. I want to go with an Adams Arms gas/piston kit, but it says for the carbine version 10.5" minimum. Will it work on a 10.3" or not. Also with that kit, it comes with handguards, but I am assuming these can be replaced. 3. I have seen some rifles with uppers and lowers that are not black, but a dark brown color. Who manufactures these? I really like the looks of them. 4. Colt A1 lowers are supposed to be the true standard, along with a cold barrel. Where can I even find colt stuff at? Thanks guys, I hate asking questions too but I am currently deployed and have limited internet time. |
