Greetings

I am new to the AR world. I must say that all of the options and information out there are overwhelming. So, in a futile attempt to get a better grasp of everything out there I though a quick poll from all of the yodas out there might give me a good start of a sound foundation of what a (semi)Dream Build would be? I would say a budget cap of 2500.  Any info provided would be greatly appreciated.
I didnt see any post asking this so if I duplicated it I do apologize.

I like the billet lowers, I have one from POF and its nice. Also the MGI lower is cool since it can change out the magazine wells for different calibers and i plan to get that soon. I have the MGI upper which is the cool since it has true quick change barrels with the standard AR barrels. CMMG has nice barrels with good prices. I like chrome bolt carriers. I like the JP singe stage trigger. Magpul has some great stocks out there and thier pistol grip is sweet. The LMT SOPMOD stock is also very nice. Lots of people like the Troy flip sights. I like the CQD sling system a lot. Colt H buffers are good. Wolf extra power extrator springs rock.

Not for 2500.

The suppressor and scope ALONE would almost eat that budget!

The rifle I'm building now will,  at full retail prices,  come in close to four grand.

I dont know exactly what it would be, but it would have the noveske N4 barrel. The barrel alone starts at over $400, but lots of people swear by them, and the features they list like double chromed bores

As far as dream builds go, I went for my multi-purpose black rifle.  I have a basic lower with Chip McCormick match trigger.  On that platform, I have 4 uppers:
- .223 24" A3 high-rise Varmint setup with permanently attached Leupold VX-III scope
- 5.56 M-4 upper with surefire flashlight, laser, Aimpoint, 3X magnifier
- .22lr A1 upper with Ciener kit
- 7.62x39 20" A3 upper for more thump

- detachable carry handle
- detchable Leupold VX-II scope
- many other detachable goodies (BUIS's, bipods, etc.)

If you are going for a dream rifle, go for an entire rifle system.  Remember that the best thing about an AR is that it is a modular system!

ETA: will post pics soon...

So far I am thing of something that is diverse and easy to swap out uppers for different calibers. I have not decided on the Lower yet since I was thinking of making
5,56 for the everyday use for the upper and having a beowulf upper ( or equivalent) to trade out.

So i am thinking diversity with immediate stopping power. The 1st build would definitely be field worthy and then I would move into urbanized models for defense.

I see you have a very diverse model. have you any issues swapping out uppers on the fly.  Got any record times ;) JK unless you have timed yourself.
