I was told you guys might like to check out these 3d printed scope levels I designed:

Nonadjustables:

One on a GAP PRS rifle:

Some adjustable ones:

They're less than a 1/2oz and take stout recoil just fine, I think the printed look is pretty neat myself.

This probably applies to all scope levels but how do you level the level before you use the level level to level the scope?

Curious, what material is that made from? (ABS, PLA, etc)

You level the scope level the same way you level the reticule.

These are made from an ABS derivative.  We are also testing some designs and other accessories (rail mounted level, cosine indicator, etc) and another type of filament called PETG.

I think you'd be surprised at the strength of these levels, you can chuck them against a wall, mount them on a 338 Lapua Improved (have had a weaker, earlier design on for months with no problems), etc and they work fine.  Pretty simple design, but they are printed to tight tolerances.

As the mod said, I'm down to answer any questions.  I have a developing website at mkmachining.com that has more information as well about the levels.  I'm also working on a chassis that I think will be totally revolutionary :)
