Just keep watching PSA...it seems to go out and come back in frequently, and it's typically $9.99/box with free shipping on 10+ boxes.

Field and Stream and Dicks Sporting goods have the Federal AE223 55gr FMJ's on clearance 40% off the sale price. Comes to $228 per case and you still get the $50 per case federal rebate. So after tax I am paying $0.19/round.

I was surfing Sportsmans Guide Saturday morning

Lapua box of 50 round 55 grain .223 on clearance for 24.  This pisses on Midways 100 count brass for 68 (out of stock).

I dont think people know because its still in stock.  Or they arent reloading .223 much.

Is it just me or is that a ridiculous price for .45 ACP?!?!  That's around what I've seen the American Eagle .45 go for after the rebate.

I haven't shot any of the .45 AE but I have in 9mm. I wouldn't say one is better than the other especially in pistols. They both can probably shoot better than me.

Both are warm loads IME but not +p hot, 100% reliably, and pretty clean. The 147g AE in 9mm did have more blowback when suppressed than any other 9mm I have tried.

You'd probably be better off starting a thread for that question.

Deal thread:

Just grabbed some American Eagle .45 ACP and 9mm...at Brownell’s, with the 10% off and Free shipping code, and 25% off rebate, here is what they come out to:
- .45 ACP, $.202/rd, $10.10/box
- 9mm, $.142/rd, $7.10/box

Unless I’m doing my math wrong (in which case I feel like an idiot right now), I’ve never experience .45 ACP or 9mm this cheap.

Add 4% cash back from Active Junky (if you need a code PM me), and I’m pretty happy.

Code MCL should be good for another hour and a half according to the Brownell’s code thread.

Smitty is correct.  You type in the bar code from one of the individual 50 round boxes into the web site and if you bought a 1000 round case, you enter QTY = 20.  You print out the resultant form from the web site (essentially a rebate authorization form) and send it plus the bar code from the case box (not the bar code from the individual 50 round box) with a copy of the original receipt.  Should be good to go
