Bought 2 boxes of 7.62x39 to run through my sks. In the first box I had 3 cases get stuck in the chamber after firing. Had to use a cleaning rod to knock them out. refused to shoot anymore.

1) 55grn
2) CMMG piston, 16" 1:7 twist.
3) ~200
I had three FTE this was after about 500 rounds through the rifle I have about 1k through it total, I feel it is two things 1 that it was towards the end of my shooting that day and the rifle was dirty 2 that the rifle was pretty new at the time. I think once the rifle is broken in a little more this ammo will work better. I'll give it another try in a thousand rounds or so.

I've shot hundreds of rounds of Wolf Mil Classic through my CavArms Trooper and my Bushy Middy. It's a good round, pretty damn accurate, but the downside as everyone else has mentioned is that it is super dirty. Shooting a mag of this is like shooting 5 mags of regular high quality brass ammo. Make sure you scrub your chamber well after a hundred rounds or so or you'll start to get FTEs and even some failure to go into battery. That may have to do with the poly coating, I'm not sure.

Just remember: a clean gun is a happy gun!

1000 rounds through 2 different DPMS A-15's

No FTF/FTE.

At 100+ yards was knocking down fire extinguishers (thin ones and fat ones) with iron sites.

ETA: June 2011- had one stuck case. First problem out of ~4k or so...(through 2 different rifles)

Shot a bunch (~ 5K) of this stuff through multiple carbines of 14.5-16" barrel length, multiple makes, not a hitch.  My 20" guns (Bushmaster and Sabre) do not like it as well and will short stroke from time to time.

For me it's good blasting ammo in the carbines.  YMMV.

I'm around 3k rounds so far, and the only issues I have seen are are either in brad new guns or dirty guns.  Switching to mil spec ammo on the spot (such asxm193) usually fixes it. Issues include ftf and failure to lock back.  Issues are rare and typically go away if the gun is cleaned and relubed. My conclusion is it's just weaker than mil spec ammo.

went shooting yesterday with .223 military classic ammo and it failed to cycle my Bushmaster XM15 at all. Two friends went with me useing M4s; one an Armalite; the other an DPMS and they worked flawlessly. I luckily had other ammo so my day wasnt totally ruined. Whats up with the WPA MILITARY CLASSIC?

I've never had any issues with it.  I don't think it's any noticeable amount less accurate then standard Federal XM193(2nds crap we get to purchase...) at least out to 50Y, but of course, hella dirty, and of course not nearly as hot a round. The only thing about it is the finish on the cases and thin outer copper coating on the bullets make them a little 'grabby' with USGI mags.  I have had a couple failures to feed (first round on fresh mag) because I didn't have the very top round seated properly all the way back in the mag(copper digging in slightly on the front of the mag).  I replicated it a few times to figure out that was what the problem was.  It  'cuts' into the copper very easily and can put a little cut in the finish that allows it to hang. Any bi-metal coated bullet can do this though, I've had it happen a couple times with silver bear as well.     Never had it happen in a PMAG or Lancer though, even tried to make it hang.
Fired well over 1000 rounds through my Stag, and about 300 now through my new PSA upper.  No FTE's or FTF's.   I finally found Silver Bear regularly available at SGAmmo, so I probably won't buy any more Wolf MC after I finish this case off as I love 62g SB for plinking.

1) Wolf Mil Classic, 55gr FMJ

2) Del-Ton 16" M4 (built by me) w/ JP Enterprises springs

3) Approx. 150rds, a couple split necks and 2 FTFires (primer didn't ignite)

Went through ~150rds of the stuff, about 30-60 rounds between cease-fires, noted several split necks in the cases and had 2 primers that didn't blow. Accuracy was abotu average for me, roughly 4" group @ 50yds (yeah, I suck). As longas it stays cheap I'll keep using it.

Ran 60rds through my M&P 15 with no problems. Will be buying a case for use as plinking/practice ammo when I have the cash.

S&W MP-15 VTAC model, has an H buffer, but, I also tested it with an H2 buffer
16" barrel 1x7 twist chrome lined
55gr FMJ and JHP military classic

I noticed 2 things:
- H2 buffer is a bit much for the weaker "black box" wolf ammo
- My gas tube was "slightly" canted in the upper. I put on a new gas tube and adjusted the gas block just a hair and it shoots Wolf just fine.

All my other guns have "H" buffers and Wolf has not problems in them if the gas tube is properly aligned.

55 gr. FMJ WPA Military Classic
Addax Tactical 5.56mm NATO Mid-Length1:8 twist polygonal rifling16" barrel Upper with Bushmaster A2 Lower and Bill Spingfield trigger group.
260 rounds

All fired and cycled properly. Not accurate - 5" (30 shot) groups at 100 yards.
I will be buying more at least 500 for less than 0.20 cents a round. Very affordable plinking ammo.

For comparison, 55 gr. FMJ Brown Bear had the same recoil, cycle and results. Shot 240 rounds.

Ruger SR-556C
Shot about 500 rounds.  Great plinking ammo, but would not use it when my life depends on it.  In about 1 of every 100 rounds, the extractor has ripped off the part of the rim at the extractor, causing an FTE.  It easily is pushed out with a cleaning rod.  Happens most often on 1st round after shooting and then allowing weapon to sit with round chambers for a few minutes.

I buy Wolf black box and Wolf Military Classic ammo when ever I can!! My shtf ammo is 6k of .223, 5k of 7.62 x 39 and 2k of 45 ACP and is all Wolf or MC, I love the stuff and I shot about 2-3 k of each caliber a year, maybe more. It's good on my guns and good for my wallet. Ran it through a chrony and it's all within about 50-75 fps. I can hit Prairie dogs with my Colt lightweight with my leatherwood M1000 out to 300 yards + with the stuff.

I haven't had any issues with Wolf WPA in my M16 with a Vltor A5 stock, runs like a sewing machine with Zero FTF/FTE, my 6940 won't cycle it...

This is what's left of the 30K rounds I purchased

Voted "minor problems"

I took my LMT 16" camping with me a few weeks ago and decided I'd finally try some wolf ammo. Out of 500rds I only got one stoppage at the ~300 mark, a FTE/Stuck case.

All I did was wipe off and relube the outside of the BCG, run a bore snake through and clean the chamber a little with a chamber brush. It worked like a charm for the rest of the trip.

I had also shot about 400rds of .22 through a CMMG bolt before shooting the .223 without cleaning, so I just assume that the only reason I had a problem was because the rifle was dirty.

None of my 5.56 rifles seem to like Wolf MC or BB: Bushmaster XM15 and A2, Colt 6721, and even a MAK 90 in 5.56. I keep my guns clean too.
I was really surprised when the MAK choked on it.

I can usually get through about 40 or 50 rounds before I'll start having FTEs, difficult extractions leading to short stroking, stuck cases, and
cases with the rims torn off by the extractor.

I can shoot PMC Bronze, Winchester Q3131A1, and Prvi Partizan M193 all day long without issue.

All of the rifles are low mileage, so maybe that has something to do with it?

Conversely, I have a buddy with an old ban-era Colt and a new franken AR that eat as much Wolf as he'll feed them.

Accuracy, oddly enough, isn't bad at all. I can get 1.5" to 2" groups on paper at 50 yards from a rest with irons. Hitting a steel torso at 100 yards is simple,
and hitting a 12" x 12" plate at 200 yards, and a 12" x 16" plate at 300 yards isn't any problem either.

My solution is to bring a cleaning rod, a chamber/bore brush, and some Hoppes to the range with me and give things a scrubbing after each couple of mags.
I still have a fair amount of this ammo, so I'm going to keep shooting it irregularly until its gone.

1. Wolf Military Classic 55gr.
2. Core 15 M4 DGI 1/9 twist
3. 600+ rounds

No ammo problems, one 30 round pre-ban mag gave me feeding problems and was confirmed with M193 doing the same. Groups pretty good and it goes bang every time at .24 per round. Seems consistent and spent casings eject into a nice small pile. Will be getting another 1000 rounds soon.

Bought 500 rounds of it.

It would shoot reliably with my 16 inch Carbine gas but would short stroke time to time with 16 inch rifle gas with enlarged gas hole (other ammo won't do this)

Luckily, the steel case is boxer primed and I can reload 1 more time and may be once more.

I shot around 100 rounds in the colt carbine length even some tula flawess with stt2 buffer.140 in the bcm I was shocked that I didn't have any issues with the military classic 55grain softpoint carbine buffer oiled with froglube.so I just bought 1k more of wplf because silverbear is so much now In the hbar it shot 2 to 2 1/2 inch groups with a 3xand EOtech the BCM was 2 1/2 to 3/inch at 100 yards. My Colt shoots alot more accurate with better ammo likewise with BCM.While I understand the low round count it wasn't the jam each shot people say.I know what it is ,its people who love it and don't want others to buy so they say it suck don't buy

I've shot 500+ of 62grn HP  through my 16" mid-length frankenstein rifle (1/7 twist 5.56 chambered CMMG barrel).

It's gone bang every time I've pulled the trigger and groupings have been consistent. It's a little dirtier then other brands out there but that's not really a big deal to me. I'm planning to buy more of it.

I've only shot about 200 rounds of the Military Classic, but it all functioned just fine. 100 of the 55gr HP and 100 of the 55gr FMJ.

Rifle is a CMMG lower/lower parts with a 16" M4 upper from Fulton Armory.

Ammo was fired amongst brass also with no problems.  Approx 300 rds of Prvi M193, 200 rds of Wolf Military Classic, then another 100 rds of the Prvi. No malfunctions.

In fact, I have 1000 more rounds of WPA MC on the way courtesy of Widener's.

200 rounds in a couple hours

No problems with feeding or ejection. Was moving and shooting within 50 yards of targets, accuracy was good enough for me.

I actually had a case get lodged in the chamber in one of my AR's.  Now this was when I first started using it.  But that happened after about 300-400rds without cleaning over several range trips.  Hasn't happened since.  I still have a few thousand rounds in tins of the stuff and except for the occasional hard primer it shoots fine.  Dirty!  But it goes bang.

I've only had one negative experience with this ammo and it was really no big deal. There was a single round with a partial primer that I unknowingly chambered and fired. The primer ignited and burnt all of the powder and I saw smoke come out through the bolt cover door. The bullet remained on the casing. The round was removed from the gun and I still have it somewhere. I've shot thousands of rounds of this stuff and will continue to do so.

Stuff goes bang, no issues experienced.

55 grn FMJ
Used in Colt LE6920 and RRA Middie w/SS barrel Wylde chamber
800 - 1,000 rounds over the course of 2 years.

Rarely find Wolf Military Classic anymore.  Shoot much more Wolf black box or Tula than I have Classic.

It's cheap, it's dirty, and produces fairly inconsistent groups...hey the stuff works and allows affordable trigger time.

1) 55g and 62g
2) Mini 14 and BCM 16 inch Middy upper 1/7 twist with spikes lower
3) 1k between the two weapons

I bought it originaly for my mini.  I sold the mini and continued to shoot it in my AR when i am at outdoor ranges and am not that concerned about accuracy.  No FTF, no duds, no squibs, no FTE.  Perfect practice ammo for me.  I do not agree with the no steel in an AR.  My BCM eats everything just fine.  I never keep a picky gun.

Bump with recent manufactured WMC ammunition.
I recently purchased 500rds of WMC .223 55gr ammo to try out in some of my rifles to make sure they would function with steel case ammunition.

1. Geissele 16" SD. 16" Barrel, CHF, Chrome Lined, 1-7 Twist - Geissele Profile
2. DD 10.3 5.56 Government Profile 1/7
3. Ballistic Advantage 14.5" 5.56 Government Profile Mid-Length Barrel, Modern Series
4. Ballistic Advantage 11.5" 5.56 Government Profile Carbine length Barrel, Modern Series

Didn't have a single ft feed or fire. Shooting slow and also doing speed tests.

Was impressed. I would feel confident in using this ammo if my options were limited.
