OK, everyone has their favorites so its hard to be objective on this. I understand that but I also know some of you can be very un-bias when it comes to these sorts of questions.
I want to buy a dedicated .22 upper, but I don't want to spend a ton of money. Choices seem to be: Spikes, CMMG, Model1 Sales, Tactical Solutions, and some other lesser know ones. Which one seems the best bang for the buck? Sure, I know you can spend a grand on a top notch hand made one from one of the specialty suppliers but that is not in my budget. Given a normal price range, which one rings your bell and why? |

I've only tested Spike's Dedicated, Both barrels, Green Mountain and Lothar Walther. I've seen both the TacSol and CMMG Uppers. Both look nice but until I've had the opportunity to shoot them, there's no baseline to go on for comparison to Spike's. You decide. About 3/4 of the way down the page is a comparison of the Spike's barrels. My post # 692 :
BTW, Wilson Combat also has an upper now. I've talked with them about shooting it. Maybe when they catch up on orders. http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=15&t=441890&page=3 SpecOps-13 |
