Hi,

I'm a newbie (in the forum as well as in regards of the AR15 system) and got my R25 yesterday.

Didn't find an introduction-thread,so I'm writing here some facts about me:
I'm living in Switzerland and hunt in Austria, my hobby is trap shooting ("Piatello" is italian and means "claybird") and I bought the R25 for hunting.

Now to my question:
Does anyone know, whether the parts in this rifle are interchangeable with parts of a "standard AR15" in .308 Win?
I.e. could I buy a trigger from Timney for an AR15 and mount it in my rifle? etc.

Any hint is highly welcome!

Best Regards from the Alps

Welcome to the site!

I did some searching, and it looks like if you have an R25, this trigger will work.

Welcome!!

Any Small Pin .154" AR15 trigger will work in your gun.

The FAQ list parts interchangeability. The FAQ was written before the Remington R25 came out. Your Remington uses DPMS LR308 parts, except Remington makes their own barrel IIRC.

I used a Geissele SSA in my 308 , Mega MA-TEN, and I am extremely pleased with it.

The Remington R25 is a DPMS LR-308 in different clothing...and they run on a .308 Win./7.62X51mm NATO based cartridges like .243 Win., .260 Rem., 7mm-08, etc.

The DPMS LR-308/R-25 platform as well as the AR-10 for that matter use the exact same trigger group parts (save for the hammer in some cases) as the AR-15 rifle.

Axel, glad to help. Each subforum will have a FAQ tacked at the top. The wealth of knowledge is worth far more than the price of a team membership. I hope you enjoy your new rifle!
