I'm trying to decide on my rails for my Mega build.

I'm going with the 24" barrel, I perfer to have the gas block exposed (maybe), I'm looking at the DD light rail 14.0.

Will this rail cover the gas block on a rifle length gas system?

Thanks for any help.

I'm not for sure about that particular tube. But a dpms 12.5 tube stops right behind the gas block.

I think the 14" will cover the rifle length gas system...

I thought that it would work on the MA-Ten using the DPMS barrel nut.

Looks like the 12 shows the gas block, and the 14 covers it.

Any tube longer than 13" will cover the gas block.

Trying to decide on the rail.

I'm having a hard time with the 12" rail on a 24" barrel.

I don't know how that will look with the rail only cover 1/2 the barrel, anyone have any pics or any links?

Does anyone know if this Larue Mountwill mount a 50mm scope high enough?

And will the front sight block that is folded down, be in the way?

Or should I go with a higher mount.

It looks like it will work, just want to make sure before spending the money.

Thanks.

Easiest thing would be to call the folks at LaRue.  Thier customer service is top notch.  Or post in thier Industry forum...

I have a Burris XTR 4-16x50 in a LT-104 and it fits perfect. Unless your fold down front sight is HUGE it should not be in the way, or visible through the scope.

If your running the MBUS your problem is going to be trying to fit the rear sight under the eye piece of your scope with the 104 mount.  I was asking the same question when I built my SPR.  A 10 minute call to the folks at LaRue and you'll have exactly what you need...  I went with the LT135 mount.

Just give them a call or an e-mail...
