Looks great, man. And it's definitely much darker than my green MK16, as well. No wonder I thought it was black in your last pic. Still beautiful, though.

@5L33P3R

Thought you might wanna see the pic of his FED MK4 rail out in the sun.

You mean with your green MK4? Judging by the color of the the pic posted by @oldbrowndog, I'd go with the darker green tube. If you're gonna run that ODG SOPMOD then I'd go with the black tube for contrast.

The ano on these are definitely darker than the usual DDC. The rail color is nearly identical to that of a B5 coyote.

Here is what I managed to come up with.

Outside Diameter Left to Right = 1.594"
Outside Diameter Top to Bottom = 2.080"
Inside Diameter Left to Right = 1.401"

Weight with Barrel Nut = 11.852 Ounces
Weight without Barrel Nut = 10.264 Ounces

Did anyone get a NSN Numbered 9.3" Rail?

Anyone know if the 13.5" will cover a rifle length gas block? The best I can tell is that'll be close, possibly have .2-.25 inches of play.

My grey 13.5" Mk16 just came in today. It looks great.
I spent the weekend researching barrels for this build, fixated on doing a 14.5" setup like the URG-I.  What's everyone else doing for barrels? I don't care about being clone correct as i'll be using a BE Meyers ASR flash hider.  Aesthetically I think a 14.5" would look great, and I'll be moving my Vortex Razor over to this build when it's done.

Thoughts from others?

I see why they made it 9.3" but it doesn't look good to me. Their 13.5" is also about .25" short for a 14.5" barrel. A barrel cut to exactly 10.10“ would be perfect.

I'm curious, why do you say 'don't get a govt profile barrel'? I was looking at Criterion Hybrid barrels this weekend, and while claiming 'hybrid' profile they're definitely heavy. Nearly 30oz stripped for their 14.5

I'm just anti thin behind the gas block, thick in front of the gas block. The Criterion hybrid isn't quite as bad as Govt, but it is similar. They just have unnecessary weight in the front.

Ah I'm tracking. Looking at DD's govt 14.5 it's definitely thicker in the front. Whereas a lot of folks are offering more of a consistent taper from back to front. It's what drew me to the BCM EHL in the first place.

The ODG ACH is a great match for my ODG Colt tube. The ODG B5 SOPMOD looks kind of like a dark foliage green next to the other parts. Not the best lighting indoors on the workbench, unfortunately. I think anything but natural sunlight seems to make the matte finish on the Mk16 look more brown in photos. I was in a rush to compare them after the B5 stock arrived today ($61.75 from SKD’s BF sale).
